Legend Biotech is seeking a Receptionist as part of the Administrative team based in Somerset, NJ.
Role Overview
Legend Biotech requires the temporary services of a receptionist to assist in executing reception and site services at the Somerset site.
Key Responsibilities
Front Desk & Visitor Management
Greet, welcome, register, and direct visitors, guests, vendors, and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
Administer the visitor badge and access process in accordance with site security procedures.
Monitor visitor activity and ensure appropriate access protocols are followed.
Monitor security cameras and alarms and promptly escalate security or facility-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Maintain a professional and organized reception area.
Telephone & Communication
Direct calls and voicemails to the appropriate individual or department.
Provide general information and assistance to employees, visitors, and callers as appropriate, and escalate as necessary.
Mail & Office Support
Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages to employees and departments.
Assist with outgoing mail and package distribution as needed.
Support general administrative activities and office operations assigned.
Snack Program & Office Supplies
Assist with administering the office coffee, snacks, and office supplies programs.
Monitor inventory levels, stock, communicate replenishment needs and order replacement items.
Support coordination with vendors and service providers as needed.
Catering & Meeting Support
Support catering requests for meetings and events at the Somerset office. Offer back-up at the Bridgewater location.
Coordinate catering orders based on meeting requirements, attendance, timing, and location.
Assist with ordering, receiving, and setting up catering for meetings and events.
Ensure catering areas are properly prepared prior to meetings.
Assist with breakdown and cleanup following meetings and events.
General Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and guests.
Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling information and site activities.
Follow established company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and security protocols.
Perform other departmental duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Team & service orientated mindset
Position will report to and receive operational direction and oversight from Legend Biotech Hiring Manager
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous receptionist/Office service experience preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Professional and friendly presentation and customer service.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with employees and cross-functional teams.

Company
Legend Biotech was founded as an early-stage cell therapy company in 2014. The company was the brainchild of visionary scientists who recognized that antibody-based therapeutics could potentially treat disease and possessed the backgrounds in immunology and gene editing to take the leap.
For two years, Legend Biotech, then known as the “Legend Project,” operated in a room the size of a freight elevator, with the goal of creating a cell therapy for multiple myeloma, a hematological cancer that often relapses and can become refractory. The team produced nanobodies for single-domain antibody drugs and ultimately extended the half-life of the nanobodies with proprietary technologies.
In 2015, Legend’s scientists focused on research for chimeric antigen-receptor T-cells (CAR-T) targeting the BCMA protein, making the biotech one of the first companies in the world to engineer CAR-T cells for the BCMA protein. In 2016, investigator-initiated trials began in China.
In 2017, data from the trials were presented at the American Society for Clinical Oncology (ASCO), which led to a partnership with biopharmaceutical company Janssen Biotech, Inc. to co-develop the anti-BCMA CAR-T, ciltacabtagene autoleucel (cilta-cel). Applications seeking approval of cilta-cel for the treatment of patients with RRMM are currently under regulatory review by several health authorities around the world. CARVYKTI™ (ciltacabtagene autoleucel) was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in February 2022 and received conditional marketing approval from the European Medicines Agency in May 2022.
