Job Summary
The Associate Director, Medical Analytics, Insights Solutions will lead the development and delivery of analytics-driven insights that inform Medical Affairs strategy, planning, and execution. This role will partner closely with cross-functional Medical, R&D, Data, and Technology stakeholders to translate business questions into scalable analytics solutions, generate actionable insights from diverse data sources, and drive adoption of insight capabilities across the organization. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical expertise, healthcare/pharmaceutical business acumen, and stakeholder leadership to help advance evidence-based decision-making and measurable impact across Medical Affairs
Responsibilities
Lead the strategy and execution of insights digitization within Medical Affairs, ensuring a proactive, scalable approach that strengthens medical strategy and drives patient impact.
Advance the use of AI/ML and analytics to improve the speed, quality, and depth of insights, enabling identification of trends, emerging themes, and unmet needs in HCP perspectives.
Act as a strategic partner and influencer to global and regional Medical Affairs teams to prioritize use cases, align on business needs, and translate insights into actionable recommendations that inform decision-making.
Partner with medical intelligence and scientific engagement teams to create strategic insights reports and executive-ready outputs for medical strategy teams and senior leadership.
Own the global insights product vision, roadmap prioritization and business value realization for Medical Affairs, partnering with Technology Enablement on delivery and platform evolution.
Lead a data-driven culture and support adoption, partnering closely with change management and user groups to enable uptake through training, self-service tools, and sustained engagement.
Define Medical Affairs insights business requirements for the medical data foundation and ensure analytics use cases are supported by enterprise data capabilities. Define and track KPIs to demonstrate the impact of insights on decision-making, medical strategy, and patient outcomes. Identify discrepancies and opportunities for improvement
Ensure strong governance and compliance, partnering with IT, Legal, and Compliance to support ethical, secure, and responsible use of data. Identify and scale innovative use cases (e.g., Insights-to-Impact, Next Best Action) by collaborating across functions and incorporating external best practices to continuously evolve insights capabilities.
Qualifications
Education QualificationsBachelor's Degree required. A higher level degree such as a Master's Degreeor a doctorate (PharmD/PhD) in data science, pharmacology, life science or epidemeology strongly preferredExperience Qualifications
7 or more years overall related experience or commensurate education/experience with at least 5 of the 7 being relevant, professional level experience required
Experience in data analytics in commercial, regulatory, market access or medical affairs function in a healthcare industry is required
Proven experience in leveraging advanced analytics for decision making in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is required
Demonstrated experience supporting Medical Affairs, including areas such as medical strategy, field medical insights, scientific engagement, evidence generation, launch planning, or medical performance measurement is required
Experience leveraging AI/ML technology to meet analytical needs is required
Experience managing analytics vendors; internal/external data sources to enhance insights generation is required
Proven ability to translate complex business and medical questions into analytics approaches, insights, and actionable recommendations is required
Experience with dashboarding and reporting tools like Tableau, Power BI or Looker preferredTravel RequirementsAbility to travel up to 20% of the time mostly domestic travel.

Salary Range:
USD$153,600.00 - USD$230,400.00
