Job Description

The primary objective of this position is to drive finance transformation by enhancing finance capabilities, improving culture, and reinforcing team spirit across the Global Commercial Finance organization. This role is responsible for leading the Finance Future Fit (FFF) and workstreams to ensure execution of the agreed initiatives.

U.S. Therapeutics includes 4 therapeutic areas with sales of ~$42B and corresponding margin of ~$30B. U.S. Tx finance represents ~300 colleagues.

• Serve as the primary liaison between Global Commercial Finance and Corporate on enterprise-wide finance transformation initiatives.

• Align U.S. Therapeutics Finance Future Fit priorities with broader initiatives, including Project Clear, Data Governance, and Project Genesis.

• Partner closely with the Global Finance Systems team on finance systems matters supporting U.S. Therapeutics.

• Lead the execution of approved finance capability initiatives, project plans, milestones, and timelines.

• Develop and maintain communications that keep the finance community informed of Finance Future Fit and transformation progress.

• Coordinate culture and engagement activities, including newsletters and employee recognition communications.

• Organize quarterly finance town halls, including logistics, technology, catering, and content coordination with U.S. Controllers.

• Coordinate the annual finance leadership offsite, including planning, logistics, and business-plan presentations.

• Support recognition programs, including the Year-End RISE Awards.

• Develop and maintain the U.S. Therapeutics Finance SharePoint site and related content.

• Coordinate the Finance Capital Plan across U.S. Therapeutics, International Therapeutics, and Allergan Aesthetics.

• Support crisis-management and cyberattack contingency activities, as well as ad hoc requests from the Vice President.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required.

  • CPA and/or MBA preferred.

• 12+ years of progressive finance related experience.

• Effective at delivering results in a highly matrix environment.

• Strong understanding of AbbVie financial planning processes and systems.

• Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong leadership skills with a keen sense of ownership and advanced team building skills.

• Strong communication and influencing skills.

• Self-starter with a strong sense of initiative.

• Ability to generate ideas, challenge the status quo, solve problems, and manage innovation to reality.
