PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONThe Facilities Maintenance and Engineering (FME) Directorate is responsible for laboratory space, administrative space, infrastructure, campus landscape, planning, and design, and construction management at Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research.KEY ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIESLaborer is responsible for loading, transporting, delivering, and setting up heavy equipment, supplies, and facility-related items while operating forklifts, trucks, lifts, tractors, snow-removal equipment, and various hand and power tools. Performs groundskeeping, landscaping, snow and ice removal, facility support, equipment maintenance, and other assigned duties while following safety procedures, maintaining accurate work records, and working effectively in indoor and outdoor environments.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSTo be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSCandidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:JOB HAZARDS
