UPLIZNA gMG Medical Marketing, Manager

- UPLIZNA (inebilizumab) is a monoclonal antibody that targets the CD19 cell surface marker on B-cells. UPLIZNA is currently indicated for the treatment of Neuromyelitis Spectrum Disorder (NMOSD) and is in development for other autoimmune diseases, including Generalized Myasthenia Gravis (gMG). gMG is a chronic autoimmune disease caused by autoantibodies in the neuromuscular junction that attack muscle receptors, leading to poor neuromuscular transmission. The UPLIZNA gMG HCP team will focus on educating Neurologists and differentiating the benefits of UPLIZNA for patients with gMG. The HCP marketing manager will be a critical leader within the brand team, tasked with developing the gMG HCP DSE strategy. This role will impart cross-functional leadership, strong teamwork and communication skills, a passion for patients, and a commitment to excellence in carry-through.
- Lead gMG/Neurology congress activities, including booth building and KOL engagement
- Lead the operations surrounding congresses, including coordination with the TLLs, marketing, and medical teams
- Coordinate cross-functionally before key congresses and secure appropriate sponsorships, booth space, and meeting space
- Support the execution of advisory boards and insights generation
- Support the development of the speakers bureau, speaker training, and product theatres
- Support KOL engagement strategy and execution
- Lead the competitive planning for new entrants in the gMG marketplace leading up to launch and after approval
- Work with the review team (MAC) and compliance to ensure that marketing materials meet brand, regulatory, legal, and medical guidelines and coincide with launch approval deadlines
- Contribute to developing the annual brand plan with responsibility for defining and executing key areas within the associated tactical plans.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of competitive activity and market dynamics that may affect the products development.
- Support onboarding new team members, including field team members, as the launch team continues to expand.
- Collaborate with sales training to develop content that ensures effective execution of promotional resources.
- Effectively collaborate and influence cross-functional teams (e.g., global marketing, regulatory, legal, medical affairs, patient marketing, TLLs, market research, market access, sales operations, and sales training) on launch strategy and messaging and other marketing initiatives.
- Live and role model Amgen Values and contribute to a welcoming, engaging, and fun environment of industry-leading performance within the UPLIZNA Brand team and cross-functional partners.
Masters degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Bachelors Degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Associates Degree and 8 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
High school diploma / GED and 10 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Preferred Qualifications:- Strong marketing competencies, including brand positioning, campaign development, marketplace analysis, insight generation, HCP & patient segmentation, brand sustainability, and multi-channel engagement
- Experience leading congress activities
- Experience collaborating with external experts and professional medical associations
- Experience in influencing cross-functional teams
- Experience in neurology preferred
- Rare disease and launch experience preferred
- Strong communication effectiveness; ability to engage, connect, and influence senior management and the sales and marketing organizations
- Experience working with multiple projects and managing multiple external vendors.
- Ability to translate and communicate complex information/strategies into simple and impactful plans
