Senior Director of Social & DigitalWhat you will doLets do this! Lets change the world! In this vital role the Sr. Director of Social & Digital will join our Global Corporate Affairs team. Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Communications, this strategic leader will enhance Amgens digital footprint and social engagement, driving our owned, paid, and influencer strategies. The ideal candidate will oversee our web and social infrastructure, corporate community management, and global social governance while leading a team of skilled professionals and agency partners.
Key Responsibilities:Enhance Digital Footprint and Social Engagement: Develop and execute comprehensive social and digital strategies to increase Amgens visibility and engagement across all platforms.
Owned, Paid, and Influencer Strategy: Design and implement effective campaigns that leverage owned media, paid advertising, and influencer partnerships to amplify messaging and reach target audiences.
Web and Social Infrastructure: Oversee the development and maintenance of Amgens web and social platforms to ensure they align with brand standards and are optimized for user experience and engagement.
Social Ambassadors Program: Lead the creation and management of a social ambassadors program to empower employees and stakeholders to share Amgens stories and initiatives.
Corporate Community Management: Monitor and engage with online communities, responding to inquiries and fostering positive dialogue around Amgens initiatives and values.
Global Social & Web Governance: Establish and enforce policies and best practices for social media and web usage across the organization to ensure compliance and brand consistency.
Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team of social media and digital specialists, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
Agency Partnership Management: Collaborate with external agency partners to drive execution of social and digital initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall corporate communications strategy.
Performance Measurement: Analyze and report on the effectiveness of social and digital initiatives, using insights to refine strategies and achieve business objectives.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 5 years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations experience
OrMasters degree and 9 years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations experience
OrBachelors degree and 11 years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations experience
In addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, you must have at least 5 years experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation or resources. Your managerial experience may run concurrently with the required technical experience referenced above
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
15+ years of experience in social media, digital communications, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of developing and executing successful social and digital strategies in a corporate or agency setting.
Strong understanding of social media platforms, analytics tools, and digital marketing best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
Experience managing teams and agency relationships, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and maintain compliance in communications.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
