About the Role:

As an Impact Innovation and Strategy Lead you will be an important member of the Chief of Staff Office (CoSO) within the Global Corporate Affairs (GCA) organization and will be based in Boston. GCA is comprised of Global Communications, Global Public Affairs, and Partnership Strategy, Global Sustainability, Global Security and Crisis Management, Global CSR, Global Project Leader, Health Data Partnerships and CoSO, all of which work in concert to protect and advance Takeda’s reputation. This role is pivotal in overseeing and managing various projects/initiatives within the CoSO, supporting the CoS to the Global Corporate Affairs & Sustainability Officer (CGCASO) in executing key priorities to deliver significant impact. The role requires strong strategic mind with project management and analytical skills, in the ambiguous environment. You will report to Chief of Staff, based in Tokyo.

About the Chief of Staff Office

The CoSO works to enhance GCA's organizational effectiveness through reinforcing impact measurement framework, operational excellence, strengthening team culture, and effectively support CGCASO in executing key priorities. This includes but not limited to guiding teams to deliver through comprehensive and synergistic collaboration.

How you Contribute:

  • Serve as the primary liaison for the CoSO office in Boston while the CoS operates from Tokyo, ensuring effective communication and support CoS with additional tasks as needed
  • Facilitate organizational alignment and cocreation by collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impact for key GCA priorities
  • Formulate impact measurements, and data-drive strategies
  • Oversee and manage GCA wide critical market research project and various initiatives
  • Ensure project/initiative success through the development and implementation of detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Reinforce impact measurement framework at GCA and provide necessary support for different teams
  • Strengthen project/initiative alignment with the GCA organization’s goals by ensuring effective communication and coordination.
  • Manage monthly report to Takeda executive team in collaboration with all teams
  • Enhance process improvement and conduct data analysis to generate actionable insights and recommendations.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of business experience, ideally in a multicultural and global setting.
  • Proven track in project management and strategic support experiences in a corporate environment, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, extract insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly with strong adaptability and curiosity
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, credibility, and dedication to Takeda’s values and purpose
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with demanding timelines
  • Strong interpersonal skills building successful relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally
  • Ability to operate in an ambiguous environment, with minimal supervision, strong personal drive and self-motivation
  • Flexibility and a willingness to take on a variety of assignments in global settings
  • Excellent listening skills and open to the feedback for improvements
  • Ability to execute with excellence and attention to details
  • Takeda uses the Microsoft platform. The role requires mastery of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$133,000.00 - $209,000.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S.based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
