About the role:

The Senior Project Manager, Capex is responsible for leading and managing engineering operations within the organization. This role involves designing, constructing, testing, and operating equipment to ensure quality, cost, safety, reliability, and performance standards are met in production processes. By addressing complex issues and developing innovative solutions, this role supports Takeda's mission of bringing Better Health to people and a Brighter Future to the world.

How you will contribute:
  • Manage large (capex) projects or processes with limited oversight from the manager

  • Coach, review, and delegate work to lower-level professionals

  • Lead complex project planning activities, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational needs

  • Apply advanced risk management techniques to identify and mitigate potential project disruptions

  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels to align project goals and expectations, ensuring smooth project delivery

  • Oversee contractor and supplier selection and management, ensuring adherence to project requirements

  • Communicate effectively with project teams and stakeholders, facilitating clear and timely information exchange

Skillset:
  • Leads complex project planning activities, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational needs.

  • Manages project budgets effectively, optimizing resource allocation and financial performance.

  • Develops and maintains technical specifications for projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

  • Allocates resources efficiently, balancing project demands with available capabilities.

  • Oversees contractor and supplier selection and management, ensuring adherence to project requirements.

  • Communicates effectively with project teams and stakeholders, facilitating clear and timely information exchange.

  • Demonstrates leadership by guiding project teams and fostering a collaborative project environment.

  • Coaches and mentors team members, promoting skill development and professional growth.

  • Drives innovation in project execution and management, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Utilizes strategic thinking to anticipate future project challenges and opportunities, preparing the organization for evolving industry demands.

Qualification & Experience:
  • Education in Engineering

  • Several years of experience of managing capex projects

  • Very good communication and presentation skills

  • Good execution skills and structured ways of working

  • Very good German and English language skills

A competitive remuneration package with a minimum salary of € 5.815,25 gross per month (full-time, collective wage agreement for the chemical industry) - the actual salary is higher, and depends on your professional experience and qualifications.
