Strategic Planning & Operations Senior Manager - Technology & Workforce

What you will do

Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role you will his role will support Amgens Technology and Workforce Strategy program.

As a Strategic Planning & Operations Senior Manager you will:

  • Serve as a thought partner in dedicated process areas, developing recommendations, driving decisions, and delivering presentations to senior leadership.

  • Deliver the program level planning and completion of the Tech & Workforce Strategy project and related programs.

  • Identify and quantify current risks to the tech and workforce strategy from both operational and strategic perspectives. Lead analysis of resource allocation, project optimization, risk analyses, risk quantification, capacity evaluation, scenarios, and business development due diligence.

  • Collaborate with various departments to deliver comprehensive analytics and support unbiased recommendations for tech planning, workforce optimization, data platforms, end-to-end priority delivery and real-time resourcing.

  • Develop and implement strategies for optimizing workforce and technology resources to support the advancement of innovative projects and initiatives.

  • Evaluate project readiness and activities to enable risk-based execution and prioritization.

  • Align with partners from across multiple corporate functions to help drive program success.

  • Provide direction and coordination of supporting staff and data analysts and production of associated reports.

What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree & 2 years of relevant experience; OR

  • Masters degree & 4 years of relevant experience; OR

  • Bachelors degree & 6 years of relevant experience; OR

  • Associate degree & 10 years of relevant experience; OR

  • High school diploma / GED and 12 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree

  • PMP and/or Agile certification

  • Demonstrated ability in strategic and operational planning in a multinational organization.

  • Experience with corporate transformation and international work transitions is desired.

  • Knowledge of digital transformation, technology planning, workforce optimization, and end-to-end project execution.

  • Strong quantitative and qualitative skills, including financial analysis, risk assessments, and project life cycle management.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and cross-cultural competency

  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities, priorities, and tasks with minimal direction.

  • Ability to operate in a matrixed or team environment with site, divisional, and corporate executive leadership.

  • Experience with dashboarding/reporting tools such as PowerBI.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
