The Position
This role directs and operationalizes NNI’s Ethics & Compliance (E&C) risk management program by leading and managing four functional areas: Policies & Training, Monitoring & Auditing, Investigations, Technology & Data Analytics. This leader plays a critical part in designing and driving the core risk management operations of the E&C team, ensuring the identification, assessment, and mitigation of compliance risks while maintaining and strengthening the culture of ethical and compliant business practices. This role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to oversee critical compliance program elements while identifying trends and insights to inform the broader E&C program and business stakeholders. This role takes a proactive and strategic approach to driving continuous improvement of the compliance operations and enhances the E&C program based on industry trends and best practices. This role supports NNI’s adherence Novo Nordisk policies, guidelines, business rules, and other laws and regulations applicable to ethics and compliance in a global pharmaceutical organization.
Relationships
Reports to Vice President, Risk Insights & Management. Manages teams responsible for Policies & Training, Monitoring and Auditing, Technology and Data Analytics, and Investigations (four direct reports). May serve as a member of global ethics & compliance forums and committees. Partners closely with NNI and Global Ethics & Compliance. Internal stakeholders include all E&C functional areas (e.g., investigations, monitoring and auditing, business partners), Global Ethics & Compliance, Legal, Finance, People & Ops, and others.

Supervisory
Ensures that reporting personnel have individual development plans (IDP), with annual goals and measurements that are consistent with the priorities of the business, and that interim reviews are held so that their work is focused on those priorities, and they understand their level of accountability for results and the measurement process.
Ensures that the IDP forms include completed learning and aspiration plans and are in place for all reporting personnel to enable the achievement of goals and capability to assume increased levels of responsibility.
Manages the application and communication of all Novo Nordisk policies, procedures, and Novo Nordisk Way. Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for team members.
