Job DescriptionTeam or BU/F Description:
The Data, Digital, & Technology (IT) team provides technical solutions, systems, and processes to support the critical manufacturing operations of the Round Lake site. As the site modernizes it’s processes and products, the DDT team provides innovation, advisory, and support services to every team at the site by partnering on projects and seeking the best outcomes for our patients, employees, and the environment.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated, technically proficient, and detail-oriented Data, Digital, & Technology Intern to join the DDT team at our Libertyville/Round Lake locations. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with digital transformation in the pharmaceutical industry and will be crucial in supporting digitalization projects.
How You Will Contribute:
In this role, you will:
- Support activities with the digital transformation of the site manufacturing from paper to electronic batch records. You will get involved in the eForms project and learn about the relevant systems and site operations.
- Create data visualizations and reports using tools like Power BI. You will help create clear, impactful visuals and dashboards that enable stakeholders to understand trends, patterns, and insights within the data.
- Collaborate on cross-functional projects by engaging with multiple teams within the business unit to understand their digital needs. You will gain experience working on projects that involve different stakeholders, offering a holistic view of digitalization’s impact on business outcomes.
Internship Development Opportunities:
Direct Experience: Exposure to real-world digital transformation projects, gaining hands-on experience in improving and transforming real world paper-based processes into electronic format.
Mentorship and Networking: Direct mentorship from a DDT Manager, along with opportunities to connect with other professionals in the pharmaceutical industry. Cross-functional collaboration with other departments at the site and global organization.
Skill-Building: Develop technical skills in process mapping, data transformation, and visualization. Learning industry-standard tools and best practices.
Project Ownership: Take responsibility for small digital transformation projects, from design to implementation, providing practical project management experience.
Job Requirements:
- This position will be onsite primarily in the Libertyville office with flexibility to be onsite at the Round Lake manufacturing site based on schedule.
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Strong interest in digital transformation and innovative technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of SQL or JavaScript a plus.
- Basic understanding of computer skills including MS Office (PowerPoint, Words, Excel).
- Internet skills including use of e-mails, group messaging and information gathering.
- Highly reliable and a strong team player.
- Flexible with an attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Internship Eligibility
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship.
- Must be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2025 or later.
- The internship program is 10-12 weeks depending on the two start dates (June 2nd- August 22nd) or (June 16th - August 29th).
- The intern must be able to commit to one of these time frames.
- Able to work full time 40 hours a week during internship dates.
- Takeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.S Summer Internship Program.

$21.00 - $46.00
The estimated hourly range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on the candidate’s school year/level to be entered following completion of internship.The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. internship benefits vary by location and may include:
Paid sick time
Civic Duty paid time off

Access to on-site fitness center (where available)
Commuter Benefit: To offset your work-commute expenses, Takeda provides U.S. employees with a fixed monthly subsidy to be used for either public transportation (transit) or parking.
