Job Description

The Vice President, Global Business Digital Insights & Analytics – Oncology will lead a Commercial Digital, Insights & Analytics and Forecasting function within the Global Commercial organization. The Vice President will manage a number of business-critical cross-functional capabilities for the global oncology business including: Forecasting, Analytical Insights, Market Research, and competitive intelligence. This role has high visibility and requires strong leadership and influencing skills serving as a thought partner to the Oncology Business Unit. The incumbent will be a key member of the Oncology Global Commercial Leadership team.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Lead Global Forecasting, Market Research and Competitive Intelligence teams in the development and execution of global strategic market and scientific insight plans across the Takeda Oncology portfolio.
  • Provide clear analytical support for assessment of brand performance, new lifecycle indications, and external opportunities including decision support and analysis for strategic investments.
  • Develop Takeda OBU digital strategy in partnership with the regions to support evolving go-to-market strategy. Build global digital and analytic capabilities to complement regions and Enterprise capabilities.
  • “Co-own” the global oncology business planning cycle with finance to support OBU and Takeda corporate planning objectives.
  • Develop and lead a strong team of analytics professionals to be recognized as top-tier in, Advanced Data Science, Patient Analytics, Forecasting, and Payer Analytics.
  • Attract, mentor, and retain, a deep bench of analytic talent across key areas of business need, investing in development, training, and succession planning.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and agility in forecasting approach and timing to accommodate changing business needs.
  • Collaborate and partner effectively with various stakeholders across the business, including Marketing, Sales, Managed Markets, Finance, and Operations teams; respond to executive leadership requests for operational analysis and measurement.
  • Develop key vendor and consultant relationships that can be leveraged to build optimal capabilities in the identified areas of need, build market expertise in pharma commercial data & analysis.

Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • BS or BA degree required. MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of management level experience in the pharmaceutical, biologic/biotech industries. Senior management experience in global pharmaceutical commercial data, analytics, forecasting, or related field, leading a medium to large organization and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of leading and driving business process transformation and organizational culture change as well as delivering on programs with complex business deliverables.
  • Direct experience in building novel data, digital and analytics capabilities, and leading analytics in support of critical strategic decisions around pricing, access, and/or resource and investment decisions.
  • Track record of successful leadership, management, and development of large, multi-disciplinary globally dispersed teams. Strong judge of talent with the ability to make tough talent decisions.
  • Health care business acumen with a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Familiarity and leadership experience with annual organizational financial planning cycles and demand/revenue forecasting is highly preferred.
  • Preferred experience working with large data sets and predictive analytics frameworks.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

252,000.00 - 396,000.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S.based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
