Corporate Affairs, Senior Manager, HR CommunicationsWhat you will do

If so, Amgen has an exciting opportunity for a strong enterprise communications Senior Manager who will help execute strategic communications and elevate storytelling in support of HR communications. This position is responsible for supporting Amgens global Human Resources team, including supporting executives and driving strategic communications to highlight benefits, diversity, inclusion and belonging (DI&B) and talent. The role reports to the Director, Corporate Affairs.
Key responsibilities:Develop and implement strategies to help integrate Human Resources vision and priorities throughout the organization via strategic channels
Collaborate and serve as counsel to enterprise teams to cascade or roll out HR communications programs/initiatives; serve as key liaison to provide brand guidelines
Craft succinct and engaging key messages and communications plans to deliver results while successfully changing between strategic and tactical communications
Establish and enhance relationships with key internal stakeholders across the organization (e.g. HR business partners, DI&B, talent acquisition, benefits, content/editorial, brand, internal communications, product communications, advocacy, marketing teams, and global markets)
Partner in managing employee communication channels to ensure efficient and effective delivery of messages; Incorporate employee feedback and external research findings to optimize communication strategies
Craft creative content focusing on HR solutions, new programs, initiatives, talent and people
Proactively assess change management and communications needs
Exemplify growth mindset and stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in HR and communications, incorporating new strategies and technologies as appropriate
Create presentations, talking points and briefings
Use data analysis to continuously refine communication approaches and channels
Participate in knowledge sharing and adopts best practices to enhance communication effectiveness
Develop and maintain high credibility and influence with stakeholders

Basic Qualifications:Doctorate degree and 2 years of corporate communications experience
OrMasters degree and 4 years of corporate communications experience
OrBachelors degree and 6 years of corporate communications experience
OrAssociates degree and 10 years of corporate communications experience
OrHigh school diploma / GED and 12 years of corporate communications experience
Preferred Qualifications:Five or more years of experience with staff engagement, culture building and internal communications including using internal and external channels
Biotechnology, pharmaceutical or healthcare communications experience
3-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry in communications, or HR staff engagement
Strategic and creative thinker with the ability to truly understand business challenges and priorities and develop actionable programs that integrate soundly with business objectives
Experience creating and implementing strategic communication programs for a complex, matrixed organization
Demonstrated proficiency working directly with executive management, including the ability to advise, influence and coach on communication strategies around potentially sensitive issues
Ability to interact with all levels of management and staff
Ability to productively navigate a challenging and dynamic environment and deal with rapidly changing priorities
Excellent interpersonal skills; enthusiastic teammate and self-starter; serious commitment to hard work and excellence
Outstanding written and oral communication skills; ability to distill complex issues and information into simple, compelling, and relevant messages
Change management experience
Experience setting up two-way channels to open communication lines, create dialogue and ensure messages are reaching staff at all levels
Demonstrated experience using social media and digital collaboration tools for professional communication
Diverse experience in strategic communications, internal communications, business communication, Journalism or related field
Deep understanding and experience with aligning to organizational objectives
Exceptional storytelling experience
Understand how to shape purposeful messaging
Strong ability to successfully communicate with employees and internal stakeholders
Excellent writing and editing skills
Strong understanding of automation and technology tools
Project management experience
Experience in creative content in various forms, including video, written (long and short form), PowerPoint and website design

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
