The Position

This role provides strategic and tactical support to the Director, Strategic Advisor & Supplier Diversity Lead within NNI Business Solutions (NBS). At any time, this individual will support multiple high complexity projects within NBS. It is paramount to be able to remain nimble while driving key projects successfully, and providing the support needed to ensure strategic objectives and tight deadlines are met.

 

Relationships

This position reports to the Director, Strategic Advisor & Supplier Diversity Lead. Key stakeholders from within the department include VP, NNI Business Solutions and department leadership team members from Enterprise Procurement & Fleet, Commercial & Therapeutic Area Procurement, Real Estate & Workplace Solutions, and Meetings & Travel Solutions. Maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization will be equally as important.

 

Essential Functions

  • Supplier Diversity
  • Drive adoption and expansion of the Novo Nordisk, Inc. Supplier Diversity Program
  • Execute/Support Supplier Diversity reporting and analysis (including Tier 2 data collection and data analysis for year-end reporting)
  • Attend live and virtual Supplier Diversity events and building relationship with suppliers
  • Coordinate matchmaking appointments between Procurement and Diverse suppliers
  • Update and maintain supplier documentation in support of Supplier Diversity and Subcontracting program
  • Communications
  • Write engaging content and design professional presentations using storytelling skills in support of several strategic projects being led by the NNI Business Solutions department
  • Liaise with Corporate Communications team on behalf of NBS
  • Lead the development and execution of department updates throughout the organization in the form of newsletters, executive summaries to leaders, posting on internal communications channels, and other channels
  • Understands appropriate utilization of Ai in communications
  • Bring storytelling into communication tactics
  • Department Budgets
  • Collaborate with departmental managers to identify budgetary needs, develop supporting business case to secure funds, and drive department budget management
  • Projects
  • Manage department subscriptions and memberships- contracts/invoicing and maintaining relationships and adoption
  • Assist in coordinating and managing special projects, initiatives, and strategic planning efforts led by the Director, Strategic Advisor, ensuring projects are on track and deadlines are met
  • Scheduling and space reservation, preparing agendas, coordinating materials, taking minutes, and following up on action items to ensure smooth meeting operations
  • Conduct research, gather data, and prepare briefs or reports to be shared with leaders
  • Ability to input, organize, and manipulate data effectively using Excel
  • Able to create and customize charts, graphs, and pivot tables in Excel to present data in a visually appealing and easy-to-understand format for reporting and analysis purposes

    Physical Requirements

    Up to 10% overnight travel required.

    This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days per week onsite in Plainsboro, NJ.

     

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor 's degree required; relevant experience may be substituted for degree, when appropriate
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience is required, and pharmaceutical industry experience is strongly preferred
  • Natural leader with the ability to positively influence others

  • Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and complex schedules in a fast-paced environment
