Enterprise AI and Data Science Platform Technical Product Owner

What you will do

Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role you will be responsible for leading the strategic development, deployment, and management of the organization's AI and data science platform. This role is pivotal in enabling acceleration of enterprise's AI and data science initiatives, ensuring that the platform supports large-scale data processing, advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI model deployment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ML and AI development life cycle and a good understanding of enterprise-level AI needs. This role requires close collaboration with data scientists, AI specialists, engineers, and business leaders to ensure the platform delivers maximum value across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Platform Development:
  • Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of the enterprise AI and data science workbench platform, ensuring it meets the current and future needs of the organization.
  • Develop and execute a roadmap for the platform that aligns with the organization's AI and data science strategies, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define the platforms role in achieving the organization's strategic objectives and driving business value.
  • AI & Data Science Enablement:
  • Enable data scientists, AI builders, and business analysts to build, deploy, and scale AI models and applications efficiently.
  • Enable development and deployment of machine learning workflows, and AI model deployment processes on the platform.
  • Support the integration of the platform with other enterprise systems and tools like Enterprise Data Fabric, Data Market Place ensuring seamless data flow and accessibility.
  • Platform Management & Optimization:
  • Monitor platform performance, usage, and costs, implementing improvements and optimizations to ensure efficiency and scalability.
  • Engage with technology vendors like Databricks, AWS, Google Vertex ensuring the organization uses the latest features, updates, and best practices.
  • Ensure the platform is secure and aligned with industry standards and regulations, implementing robust governance and security practices.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Foster strong partnerships with multi-functional teams, including data science, AI, engineering, IT, and business units, to understand their needs and priorities.
  • Engage with business partners and lead advisory engagements to seek advice, find opportunities and establish partnerships.
  • Lead Go to Market activities to engage, educate and promote platform capabilities, benefits, and value to users and drive adoption
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in AI, machine learning, and data science, and evaluate their potential impact on the platform.
  • Drive innovation by recommending and implementing new tools, technologies, and methodologies that enhance the platform's capabilities.
  • Lead initiatives to integrate Artificial Intelligence driven solutions and automation into the platform, improving efficiency and scalability.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Information Technology experienceOr

Masters degree and 6 years of Information Technology experience

Or

Bachelors degree and 8 years of Information Technology experience

Or

Associates degree and 10 years of Information Technology experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Information Technology experience

In addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, you must have a minimum of 2 years experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation or resources. Your managerial experience may run concurrently with the required technical experience referenced above

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Outstanding collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • 3+ years of experience in data science, AI, or Product management
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage complex AI projects and lead cross-functional data science and AI teams.
  • Experience with DataBricks, or AWS Sagemaker
  • Consistent track record of successfully implementing and managing enterprise-scale AI and data science platforms in cloud environments.
  • Experience in managing full stack software applications
  • Good understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, frameworks, and model deployment practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and optimize platform performance.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
