JOB LOCATION: Cambridge, MA
POSITION: Research Investigator
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Takeda Development Center Americas, Inc. is seeking a Research Investigator with the following duties: Lead efforts to design and develop analytical methods for the characterization of chimeric antigen receptor cells such as: immunophenotyping functionality and high throughput assays; Contribute strategic planning of activities, including prioritizing experiments, timelines effectively to meet project milestones and deliverables; Validation and Optimization: Revise and enhance the parameters within existing methodologies to align with the specifications of designed cells, including adjustments to co-culture duration, selection of appropriate fluorophores for cell staining, and optimization of dilution ratios to ensure compatibility within the operational scope; Exercise independent judgement in selecting most appropriate methods, coordinating efforts, evaluating criteria for obtaining results; Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and independently draw conclusions to support product development, formulation, and processes; Summarize and present data within department and occasionally to broader audience; Contribute to technological transfer of experimental procedures/data internally and external stakeholders as appropriate to integrate subject matter expertise into various projects, initiatives; Prepare comprehensive reports, protocols, and documentation for analytical methods, validation studies, and experimental findings, maintaining accurate records in compliance with regulatory standards; up to 5% domestic travel required.
REQUIREMENTS: Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering or related field plus 2 years of related experience. Prior Experience must include: Perform High throughput immunophenotyping assay characterizes the drug product; Perform data analysis using FlowJo, MS Office and GraphPad Prism to know phenotypic composition of cell product; Immune cell handling, including cell isolation using Ficoll-Paque density gradient centrifugation, cell culture; Functional assays like proliferation and activation assays; Perform functional assays like ELISA to characterize cell therapy product; Routinely test solubility and stability of compounds using UPLC, HPLC and analyze using Chromeleon; Characterize in-process and drug products using Multi color flow cytometry to know the cell composition; Prepared sensor substrate by selecting suitable material like silicon and functionalized it to promote interaction with MIPs; Prepare Molecular Imprinted Polymer solution by dissolving the polymer in suitable solvent.
Full time. $96,600.00 - $165,600.00 per year. Competitive compensation and benefits.
