Job Description

Job Title:Senior Manager Supply Chain Capability Building
Location:Zurich/Boston

About the role:

Supports defining and implementing the Capability Building strategy to align with business priorities and capability needs. Provides guidance to identify the critical capabilities to achieve business goals and supports the assessment of current capabilities. Designs and develops learning initiatives together with subject matter experts in order to address capability gaps.

Monitors the progress of the different initiatives. Assists in creating and executing the strategic communication plan.

How you will contribute:

  • Deliver analyses of training data; identify key trends and contribute to the creation of insights that enable the diagnosis of capability gaps, enhancement of employee engagement, and/or improvement of business performance.
  • Engage with team or department line managers to clarify priorities for learning interventions; gather relevant data on performance and current levels of competence; identify gaps in relation to required levels and obtain agreement on required outcomes.
  • Design and develop learning programs to meet individual and organizational learning needs within specified timescales and resources.
  • Develop relevant content and high-quality learning resources to create high levels of learner engagement and achievement of learning outcomes: training manuals, multimedia visual aids, e-learnings and other educational materials.
  • Deliver training programs, engaging, advising and guiding learners and evaluating the achievement of intended learning outcomes.
  • Communicate learning plans and explain how this relates to the function's strategy and action plan and to the broader organization's mission and vision; motivate people to achieve learning goals.
  • Provide training or coaching to Supply Chain Trainers to enable performance and ful-fill personal potential.
  • Experience with complex decision and planning processs.
  • Experience in Value Stream Mapping / E2E value streams.
  • Holistic understanding of Supply Chain in its various aspects.
  • Ability to demonstrate resilience by quickly responding to ongoing shifts in the business’s learning needs.
  • Makes sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information toeffectively solve problems.

What you bring to Takeda:

  • Education: University degree (BSc, MSc or similar) in a relevant area Supply Chain, Engineering, Management or IT.
  • 7+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Pharmaceutical experience is preferable.
  • Prior work experience: Relevant experience and understanding of Supply Chain processes and requirements in an international environment with coordination of cross-functional projects.
  • Lean Six Sigma Education is preferable.
  • Fluent in English - both verbally and in writing - is required.
  • Other relevant languages are a plus.
