Job Details
We are seeking an Associate Director, R&D Asset Life Cycle Management to join our Regeneron Cell Medicines (RCM) team. In this role, you will support the end-to-end life cycle management of all non-GMP Research and Development assets with both RCM sites in Cambridge and Seattle. You will directly partner with key R&D representatives to assure their scientific needs are met as they relate to their scientific instrumentation, lab-based equipment, and space planning needs.
As an Associate Director, a typical day might include:
Overseeing lab equipment life cycle management for R&D labs
Overseeing a team of skilled instrument technicians, engineers, and 3rd party contractors/consultants to oversee and/or execute the routine and emergency maintenance and repairs to R&D laboratory equipment
Establishing maintenance procedures and/or services required to ensure maximum system reliability for all laboratory instrumentation
Partnering with the Technical Operations leadership team on periodic service contract reviews for critical laboratory equipment and instrumentation
Partner with R&D representatives to assure their scientific needs are met as they relate to R&D assets as well as their lab space planning
Manage surplus lab equipment inventory, including repurposing or disposal, as needed
Collaborate with Technical Operations leadership team and Finance business partner on annual budget management activities
Overseeing the vendor management program including planning and scheduling for laboratory equipment according to prioritizations set by the research and development stakeholders
Representing R&D Laboratory Operations to collaboration partners including EHS, Lab Consumables Inventory Management, etc.
Leading and supporting capital projects and space planning initiatives

In order to be considered for this role, you must have at least a Bachelors or Masters degree and 15+ years in a science-related field, in particular lab operations and asset management experience. PMP certification preferred. Strong people management and customer service skills required. Must have strong communication skills required to disseminate critical information to team and keep lab constituents well informed. Strong organizational and planning skills required.
