This role can sit in Plainsboro, NJ or Washington, DC.
The Position
The Director – US Tax, Trade, IP works on complex issues that will require an in-depth knowledge of the company and its long-term ambitions. Develops Novo Nordisk Inc (NNI's) policy positions, in line with Enterprise Strategy for tax, trade and intellectual property. Manages relationships with select government agencies. Serves as a subject matter expert. Solicits internal stakeholder insights to advance company priorities and analyze the business impact of select policy proposals in areas such as tax policy, trade, patents and intellectual property – to NNI and the broader industry. Educates and enables broader PA Team and NNI business to leverage these positions. Works in a matrixed environment and coordinate with peers and cross-functional colleagues locally and globally.
Relationships
Reports to the Market Access and Public Affairs Senior Director, Policy. Other internal relationships include a dotted line with Corporate Tax, as well as other Market Access & Public Affairs teams, Medical, Legal, Compliance, Communications and other key stakeholders locally and globally.
External relationships include select federal agencies that may develop health care policies that could impact the pharmaceutical industry. Interactions frequently involve interactions with senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to NNI.

Qualifications
The base compensation range for this position is $200,000 to $259,000. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance.
Novo Nordisk offers long-term incentive compensation and or company vehicles depending on the position's level or other company factors.
