The Position

Support the manager in driving key projects cross-functionally. Lead or support projects directly related to Operational Readiness of the Amenity Center until fully implemented. Once site is operational, projects will transition to Operational Excellence. Lead & support various projects as dictated by changing business needs. Act as a coach/mentor to junior colleagues. Complete assigned projects & project tasks within cost, quality & schedule requirements. Present project status updates to Executive Management.

Essential Functions

  • Drive key ongoing project priorities such as development/execution of Operational Readiness initiatives, training systems, document landscape, organizational design, etc.
  • Drive development and preparation of general management and operations plans for Amenity Center
  • Recommend and oversee coordination of contracted services
  • Develop and implement short & long-term plans to ensure the efficient maintenance and operation of athletic venues, capital improvement building projects, organizational structure and staffing, budget utilization, and event management
  • Develops plans for grounds maintenance, equipment procedures, facility needs, policies and procedures, and personnel
  • Establishes procedures for maintenance of equipment and facilities
  • Establishes methods and organizational structure for facility and event management
  • Drive & support cross project activities by coordinating with management & project managers regarding communication, cross project activities, etc.
  • Initiate, develop, & lead initiatives until line-of-business can take over responsibility for setting up reporting, dashboards, planning exercises, etc.
  • Collaborate when applicable with other Novo Nordisk sites on projects
  • Lead decision making activities & provide flexible ad hoc support with short notice
  • Perform all work in accordance with applicable SOPs, cGMPs, corporate standards, state & federal laws/regulations
  • Responsible for adherence to mechanism for monitoring project progress, intervention, & problem solving with other line managers or personnel
  • Responsible for communications to management & other units
  • Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties

    Physical Requirements

    Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. % can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role.

     

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Economics, Business Management, Project Management, Sports Management, or relevant field of study from an accredited university required or equivalent combination of education & experience
  • May consider an associate’s degree in engineering, Economics, Business Management, Project Management, Sports Management, or relevant field of study from an accredited university with a minimum of seven (7) years of proven experience in project management, preferably within Tier 1 management consulting, project management of large construction projects required
  • May consider a High School Diploma (GED) with a minimum of nine (9) years of proven experience in project management, preferably within Tier 1 management consulting, project management of large construction projects required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of proven experience in project management, preferably within Tier 1 management consulting, project management of large construction projects required
  • Demonstrated experience working within an athletic facility preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of emerging technologies, industry regulations, and best practices for athletic facilities preferred
  • Understanding of complicated project execution plans, documentation & standard operating procedures with attention to high-level concepts required
  • Understanding of facilities, equipment, & maintenance is required
  • Experience with executive level communications & stakeholder management required
  • Basic understanding of contractual documents & ability to create work plans & detailed project schedules required
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel & PowerPoint) required
  • Proven expertise in mentoring/development, planning/organizing, & managing execution required
  • Demonstrated ability to revise work plans for complex problems solved by cross functional teams required
  • Ability to influence upwards & across the organization to drive results required
