Leader of Mobile Device Management, Innovations, and Operations

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate IT leader to drive innovation and excellence with Lilly’s mobiles devices.  This currently includes our Mac laptops, iOS and IoT devices, and cellular network.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of leading high-performing teams, with a focus on delivering seamless and personalized technology solutions that empower users to excel. With a deep commitment to change, innovation, and people leadership, this role offers the opportunity to shape the future of our device experience at Lilly.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Lead Lilly’s Global Apple device team, driving technological and process innovations, optimizing user experience, challenging your team to achieve their best, and managing vendor relationships. Strong leadership, a deep understanding of Apple device technologies, and a high expectation of excellence are key to this role.

The team you will lead will include responsibilities for the management of our fleet of Apple devices globally, the implementation and management of our 5G network, innovation and adoption of new IoT devices, and the continual innovation and user experience improvements that go along with these areas.

How You’ll Succeed:

  • Lead with Vision and Passion: With a strategic mindset, you will steer a diverse, global team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. You’ll create and execute strategies tailored for personalized, fit-for-use technology that enhances productivity and innovation.
  • Innovate and Implement Technology Solutions: With a solid grasp of current and emerging technologies, you’ll integrate innovative solutions to automate and improve end user computing. Specific examples include:
    • Driving technological and process innovations to improve the end user experience during new device deployment and setup.
    • Lead initiatives for self-healing devices and proactive user experience automations.
  • Drive a multi-year, global 5G implement: Communicate progress to stakeholders while pushing for expedited delivery of our public 5G network implementation and cultivating private 5G use cases with business partners.
  • Cultivate a Continuous Improvement Mindset: You will foster the growth and development of team members' skills, expertise, passion, accountability, and delivery.
  • Champion User Experience: You’ll prioritize users' needs and expectations, adopting a user-centric approach to service delivery. This involves not only understanding their requirements but also advocating for solutions that enhance their productivity.  
  • Negotiate and Manage Vendor Relationships: Your strong negotiation skills will be essential for managing third-party suppliers, ensuring they meet service level agreements. You’ll also have full leadership support to re-imagine and optimize operations in alignment with evolving IT needs and organizational goals.

What You Should Bring:

Requirements:

  • Experience managing Apple products and/or mobile devices for an Enterprise.  
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing teams, including experience in global team management, with a demonstrated ability to motivate, mentor, and develop people.
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills with the ability to team objectives with broader organizational objectives.
  • Experience developing and implementing IT service strategies and roadmaps.
  • Experience in managing relationships with third-party IT service providers and vendors, ensuring compliance with service level agreements and contracts.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field

OR

  • High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of experience leading an IT service organization.
