We are looking to fill a Principal IT Business Analyst position to join our expanding IT team. We drive the business forward by delivering new digital capabilities and technologies. Our Principal IT Business Analysts support the organization by eliciting and documenting requirements, understanding complex business processes, and coordinating communication among the various groups. In this dynamic environment, Principal IT Business Analysts have an opportunity to work on numerous aspects of the process and business.

As a Principal IT Business Analyst, a typical day might include the following:

  • Works closely with IT management and business partners to elicit detailed requirements and document value streams and processes in support of delivering new business capabilities;
  • Partners with a diverse business community to document complex and cross-functional as-is and to-be business processes and identify gaps between them;
  • Documents clear and testable functional and non-functional requirements which describe processes and technology to be implemented;
  • Collaborates in the creation, review and approval of documents and deliverables
  • Independently assesses and recommends complex business process and system changes to improve efficiency and business outcomes;
  • Participates as a key member of implementation projects, which may include requirements gathering, application and process design, testing, validation and end-user knowledge transfer/training;
  • Facilitate clear communication between business stakeholders, IT technical teams and project leadership and supports the change management process;
  • Ensure solutions developed across organization are aligned to Department standards and principles, leverage common solutions and services, and meet financial targets (cost and benefits).
  • Knows industry best practices and can provide recommendations of how to apply them in the BA practice and IT
  • Provides functional advice or training to other team members through the peer review of deliverables and expansion of the knowledge management repository;
  • May manage more junior team members or contractors
  • Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules
  • Provides Project Management for small initiatives as require
  • Manages day-to-day business interaction and expectations for multiple or large-scale projects. Continually seeks and capitalize upon opportunities to increase stakeholder satisfaction and deepen stakeholder relationships;
  • Develops a knowledge base of his/her supported business functions objectives and processes along with a strong understanding of how they relate to other areas of the business;
  • Maintains awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on Projects;
  • Collaborates with the business to develop or recommend KPIs for demonstrating value
  • Performs related duties as assigned or requested;

In order to be considered for this position, you must hold a BS/BA in Information Technology or related field and 12 years relevant experience supporting technology projects and implementations required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience creating requirements, design documents and test scripts required. Experience in a manufacturing / GMP environment strongly preferred.

Salary Range (annually)

$89,100.00 - $145,500.00
