Summary:
 
Vaxcyte has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sr. Project Manager with a strong focus on ERP/APS systems to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and tracking of the ERP/APS system from inception to completion. This role requires a deep understanding of ERP/APS systems, excellent project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
Essential Functions:
    • Lead the planning and implementation of ERP projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder requirements.
    • Ensure the ERP systems are configured to meet the specific needs of the organization, including the creation and configuration of templates, standards, workflows, and approval requirements.
    • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
    • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
    • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors.
    • Monitor and track project progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders and senior management.
    • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
    • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
    • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement lessons learned.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance project team environment.
    • Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure seamless data flow and system interoperability.
    • PM will have life cycle responsibilities to manage and monitor ERP/APS beyond initial implementation.

Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 9 years of experience in resource management or a related role.
    • Proven experience as a Project Manager, with a focus on ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).
    • Strong understanding of ERP/APS systems and their implementation.
    • PMP Certification and/or Project Management training desired.
    • Experience with software implementation and validation.
    • Proven success using Agile project management methodology.
    • Experience with Agile project management methodology.
    • Experience with Jira or similar tools.
    • Ability to manage and align multiple different workstreams and vendors to for timely completion of deliverables.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills to effectively communicate and build relationships with a broad spectrum of audiences at all organizational levels.
    • Expert analytical skills for interpreting and integrating interdisciplinary project information.
    • Strong planning and tracking skills, well-organized, focused on results, capable of managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Strong team management skills, including facilitation, conflict resolution, and team development.
    • Proven influence management and communication skills, at all levels of the organization.
    • Proactive, with ability to work collaboratively and flexibly in cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment and effectively manage change.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project or Smartsheet.
    • Ability to travel up to 10%.

Location: San Carlos, CA
 
Compensation:
The compensation package will be competitive and includes comprehensive benefits and an equity component.
 
Salary Range: $185,000 – $193,000 (SF Bay Area). Salary ranges for non-California locations may vary.
