This position is located in Plainsboro, New Jersey and follows all Novo Nordisk Inc. guidance for remote/in office dedicated time.  EST time zone hours.  
 
The Position

The Manager – Academy and Franchise Employee Experience will report to the Associate Director, Academy and Franchise Employee Experience. This role will proactively recommend and execute the development and delivery of learning solutions in support of prioritized capabilities for the Enterprise. This individual will performance consult with client groups in the Diabetes and Cardiovascular therapeutic areas to identify business gaps and recommended remediation within. Will be responsible for curriculum management, as well as administration of KPIs. Learning solution development should be innovative, while meeting the needs of the modern professional and learner.

 

Relationships

Reports to the Associate Director, Academy and Franchise Employee Experience while collaborating closely with key Field, and Home Office NNI Employee Experience personnel. Partners closely with Low/Mid-levels of business unit management.  Interacts with Marketing, Sales, Commercial Execution, Medical staff and other home office personnel regarding field training needs and proposed initiatives. Interacts with Enterprise business partners from functions including STARS, Human Resources, and Legal, Ethics & Compliance around learning and development needs.  External relationships may include interaction with various outside partners to support In-House and Field NNI Employee Experience needs and/or facilitation. Requires matrix team influence on completion of desired project outcome (project core team, business sponsor, training sponsor, stakeholders, client group(s) etc.).

 

Essential Functions

  • With alignment from the Assoc. Director to build assigned curricula & measurement strategies within (low-mid complex curriculum and/or asset build)
  • Effectively establish, deepen, and sustain key relationships with divisional learning team and business SMEs to understand their business needs and related performance gaps
  • Lead collaborative efforts with stakeholders to define desired performance outcomes
  • Through performance consulting, perform needs assessment and/or training needs analysis by project
  • Monitor, analyze, interpret, and report internal trends; make recommendations for learning solutions for the division or function, as appropriate
  • Liaise and partner within NNI Employee Experience, Capabilities Leads, and Global P&O colleagues to design, develop, curate, co-create learning solutions, as needed
  • Liaise and partner with business management leads to ensure relevance and value of curriculum and successful learning outcomes
  • Engage in tactical vendor management
  • Adhere to content management strategy and create awareness of asset development within Employee Experience
  • Follow & execute established department SOPs
  •  

    Physical Requirements

    20-30% overnight travel required.

     

    Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree required
  • A minimum of 7 or more years pharmaceutical sales and/or sales training, including elements, when possible, of field sales, market access, sales operations, curriculum design and/or sales training experience.  Prior applicable Novo Nordisk experience will apply
  • Sales experience in the Diabetes and Cardiovascular space is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal/presentation/communication skills
  • Strong project management skills are required
  • Previous management/supervisory preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
  • Proven track record or sales performance results preferred
