About the Department                                                                                                                                               

You will be joining Fill & Finish Expansions (FFEx), which is responsible for all major expansion activities within aseptic production, solid dosage forms, finished products, fill & finish warehousing, and QC across all production areas in Product Supply. The area is anchored in Product Supply, Quality & IT, which globally employ approx. 20,000 of Novo Nordisk’s 50,000 employees.

 

FFEx is a newly established and growing area with the responsibility to design, plan, and build all new aseptic filling capacity across Novo Nordisk to serve the needs of millions of patients. We do it by rethinking our production facilities with the use of modern technology, as we are setting the standards for the aseptic production of the future. Facilities designed today which we will still be proud of 20 years from now. FF Expansions has a global approach, where you will be working with multiple sites and cultures across the world.

The Position

To lead the operation and maintenance of an engineering design document & drawing management system & procedures for all engineering discipline design documentation and drawings associated with the site. Coach & mentor lower-level colleagues.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the engineering design document & drawing management system for all engineering discipline design documentation and drawings
  • Lead the drawing management support during inspections
  • Provide guidance to internal and/or consultant partners on the engineering design standards
  • Implement software solutions to support the drawing management plan
  • Explain complex processes or challenges through focusing on critical thinking & problem solving to provide an acceptable resolution for consideration to various levels of leadership
  • Oversee the creation & maintenance of SOPs & project specific procedures
  • Oversee the creation, modification & revision of engineering drawings
  • Oversee the traceability of changes to engineering drawings
  • Provide final drawing approval prior to submission to the engineering design document management system
  • Align the engineering document & drawing management system to corporate requirements
  • Ensure the proper documentation management process to accept engineering drawing turnover from construction & engineering firms
  • Oversee the training of departments on the drawing management system
  • Participate in coaching of user resources
  • Monitor & enforce BIM/CAD standards
  • Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties

    Physical Requirements

    Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role.)

     

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field of study from an accredited university required
  • May consider an Associate’s degree from an accredited university with a minimum of twelve (12) years of AutoCAD or BIM system management experience required
  • May consider a High School Diploma (GED) with a minimum fourteen (14) years of AutoCAD or BIM system management experience required
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of AutoCAD or BIM system management experience required
  • GMP investment projects or GMP operating facility experience required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience with providing direction to junior colleagues or consultants required
  • Four (4) years of experience with REVIT required
  • Specialist with drawing standards required
  • Specialist in AutoCAD with ability to modify or create engineering drawings required
  • Knowledge in BIM, Plant 3D & 3D collaboration tools (Navisworks) with ability to modify or create 3D models required
  • Good working knowledge cGMP requirements as applicable to documentation management required
  • Understanding of typical delivery methods for design & construction projects required
  • Industry BIM certification is preferred required
  • Proficient in MS Office required
  • Proven ability to establish & maintain networks preferred
  • Proven ability to facilitate & implement new processes preferred
