This role will be part of our amazing Global Procurement team within the Packaging / Directs supplier categories. This role is based at our corporate offices in Rensselaer, NY and will require being onsite Monday-Friday.
A typical day may include:
- Accountable for supporting the definition and implementation of the global Category strategy to serve global and regional business needs as assigned.
- Works closely with stakeholders to support discussions related to the Packaging Technologies, External Labs Services and CDSL Categories and aligns category priorities with Procurement management and stakeholders.
- Supports negotiations, supplier management activities, and stakeholder engagement activities for the Packaging Technologies, External Labs Services and CDSL Categories as assigned.
- Takes direction to drive value in terms of cost savings, cash flow improvement, and other efficiency savings from category management activities.
- Supports Global Procurement by participating in organizational decisions in the Packaging Technologies, External Labs Services and CDSL categories with critical short and long-term impact on the success, efficiency, growth, and results of the category team.
- Supports category activities to ensure compliance with appropriate GxPs and other applicable regulations, as applicable.
- Uses data to drive decision-making for successful category projects.
This role may be for you if you have:
- Experience successfully supporting global category teams, processes, and suppliers across a breadth of categories
- Can build relationships with stakeholders and suppliers to drive results for Regeneron.
- Success supporting cross-functional teams to drive results in related categories through effective sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and supplier relationship management.
- Expereince delivering insights and analysis regarding rates, unit costs, and costing structures to enable optimal negotiations.
- Expereince using external data sources, market information, and supplier engagement to constantly improve knowledge of supply market dynamics.
- Integrity, focus, and clarity working in an environment of ambiguity to drive change and improvement.
- Demonstrated success supporting the global supply market evaluation process using all available market intelligence, risk, compliance, and financial assessment tools.
- Working knowledge with sourcing contracting tools, ERPs, and eRFx systems preferred. (Oracle, Zycus, Ariba, Other)
- Ability to leverage standard business applications for communicating, presenting and analyzing (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
The role requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study plus 3+ years relevant experience in procurement or strategic sourcing (experience in Pharma/BioPharma or life sciences is preferred) The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding with sourcing contracting tools, ERPs, and eRFx systems preferred. (Oracle, Zycus, Ariba, Other). This role will require being onsite Monday-Friday.
