Job Details

The Manager, Scientific Writing Operations supports and works closely with the Scientific Writing Operations Lead to support and assist with SW resource (capacity) management and development of the outsourcing strategy. In this exciting role, you will work with outsourcing vendors to facilitate contract development and implementation, while also onboarding/off-boarding activities while also supervising external consultants at times.

A Typical Day in the Role Might Look Like:

  • Screens and supervises external consultants
  • Assists with contractor/vendor selection, initiation, and implementation of collaborations
  • Serves as point of contact with vendors for contracting and financial aspects of external engagements
  • Identifies training needs, monitors adherence to document processes, and provides support for external personnel
  • Collaborates with Procurement, Finance, and Business Operations to help manage contracting, budgeting and spending for Scientific Writing
  • Manages project timelines and resources and negotiate timelines across various drug development teams
  • Leads or participates in SW internal and cross-functional project team meetings
  • Contributes to process initiatives and manages the subsequent creation or changes to SW project timelines and guidance documents
  • Remains aligned with internal training
This Role May Be For You If You Have:
  • Good knowledge of drug development and regulatory submission (eCTD) guidelines and processes
  • Previous experience working in a cross-functional drug development team preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Proficient knowledge of MS WORD & EXCEL, Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint, project management systems, and electronic document management systems

This role requires BS/MS in a relevant field with a minimum of 7 years relevant operations and project management experience. PMP certification a plus. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred. Previous experience in supervising is a plus.

Salary Range (annually)

$124,200.00 - $202,800.00
