Position Summary

As a Global Brand Planner for Cell Therapy at AstraZeneca, you will help drive the strategic planning and execution of our innovative cell therapy products across the global supply chain. You will have a unique opportunity to combine your expertise in supply chain management with a passion for making a difference in patients' lives. You will report to the VP of Supply Chain.

 

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end Tactical Planning: Take ownership of the end-to-end tactical planning process for the assigned cell therapy brand portfolio, ensuring synchronization across all supply chain nodes while optimizing service, inventory, and cost.
  • Brand Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP): Lead the brand S&OP process, reviewing demand, supply, and inventory plans to make aligned trade-off decisions that fulfill our goals.
  • Supply Chain Configuration: Lead the supply chain configuration (Value Stream Map) for the assigned brands, ensuring understanding of strategic goals and responding to supply issues.
  • Budget Management: Manage the brand volume budget for inventory, production, and purchasing, monitoring adherence throughout the year and identifying gaps.
  • Collaboration and Change Management: contribute to brand collaborator management and coordinate the global planning response in supply chain change projects, such as new product indications, discontinuations, and switches.

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Logistics, Sciences, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a supply chain environment, with a focus on manufacturing and planning.
  • Understand the quality, availability, and sourcing of CGT raw materials.
  • Important supplier knowledge/relationships for critical materials.
  • Understanding of regulatory pathways and requirements to operate the supply chain compliantly.
  • Working knowledge of warehousing and logistics mechanisms including temperature-controlled storage and 3rd party networks specific to CGT.
  • Traceability and tracking: Chain of Custody (COC) / Chain of Identity (COI):Forecasting mechanisms and systems to inform planned requirements and capacity.
  • Plan and scheduling of supply chain steps like patient clinic visits, apheresis collection, manufacturing, and shipping lead times.
  • CMO capacity plans & managing material constraints.
  • Site scheduling and capacity slot reservations.
  • Planning systems and techniques– Make /order to stock vs make to order.Lentivirus vector planning strategies.
  • Partner management and coordination across the supply chain End to End.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in APICS/CSCP or equivalent.
  • Lean certification.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $135,377 to $169,222. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related experience. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and we reserve the right to modify base salary (and any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
