Responsibilities 

We are looking for a highly motivated Associate Level Biologist with a diverse background in in vitro biology to join our discovery research team within the Biotherapeutic Enabling Biology in Biotechnology Discovery Research.  In search of a candidate who combines a passion to explore novel biology with a rationale based and hypothesis driven scientific approach.   

The successful candidate will join a highly interactive, collaborative, and innovative scientific team to discover and advance large molecule drugs to combat diseases in the diabetes, pain, neurodegenerative auto-immune and other diseases.  The candidate will design in vitro cell-based assays and biochemical assays for screening therapeutic antibodies. 

 

Basic Qualifications 

  • BS or MS degree in molecular/cell biology, immunology, neuroscience, microbiology or related discipline. 

 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Strong cell and molecular biology background and experience including, but not limited to, mammalian cell culture, quantitative cell-based assays, primary cell isolation, transient and stable cell line generation, and cell reporter assays. 

  • Experience with a wide range of laboratory techniques: ELISAs, Western blots, IP, RNA isolation, gene editing, and qPCR. 

  • Strong laboratory skills and data analysis and interpretations 

  • Skilled at mammalian tissue handling and processing. 

  • 1-3 years of experiences in cell/molecular biology, Immunology, cardio immunometabolism related research. 

Additional Skills/Preferences 

  • Knowledge and experience in large molecule platforms for early phase drug discovery. 

  • Capable of independently planning and conducting experiments, generating data, interpreting results, and documenting the work, and multi-tasking. 

  • Strong communication and presentation skills. 

  • Desire and ability to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges. 

  • Ability to work productively and to foster collaborations in an interdisciplinary team environment.
