Job Title: Supply Chain Excellence Lead

Organization Overview: 

Drives operational and digital excellence as well as standardization of business processes by emphasizing on lean methodologies and master data management while interfacing with relevant key stakeholders including sites/networks, M&Q IT, and HR business partners

Responsibilities: 

Functional:

  • Define and improve global supply chain business processes across physical, digital, and financial flows.
  • Serve as Team Process Leader for Supply Chain system design and support activities at a central functional level.
  • Define global supply chain business processes for learning and development across all manufacturing networks (API, parenteral, and dry products) and within GSC & MS in close partnership with the Global Manufacturing and Quality Learning and Development organization.
  • Drive business process digitization initiatives in co-operation with the Digital Strategy team, by implementing and maintaining platforms, tools and technologies to automate existing processes.
  • Introduce lean methodologies for continuous improvement of standard business processes. 
  • Leverage insights obtained from internal (M&Q IT, sites, etc.) and external (customers, partners, etc.) stakeholders to introduce SC excellence initiatives aligning with their recommendations.
  • Define strategies to enable the application of master data governance practices aligning with key business objectives.
  • Leverage advanced data analysis, in collaboration with IT and the SC Design & Transformation team, to assist leadership in taking strategic decisions by identifying business risks and opportunities.
  • Drive the organizational project portfolio management.
  • Collaborate with functional leaders in the organization to manage organizational change management activities.

Leadership:

  • Ability to address major risks and issues by identifying, resolving, communicating, or escalating to senior leadership when appropriate.
  • Capable to successfully work in matrix structures and to lead cross-functional programs that bring value to the enterprise.
  • Effective in performance management and talent development; skillful in motivating and growing leaders and technical practitioners, providing opportunity for career development.
  • Works as part of the GSC & MS Lead Team to share ideas and improve operations, recommending, supporting, and implementing continuous process improvement, digitalization efforts, and talent development activities.

Basic Requirements:  

  • Has 10+ years of work experience in implementing Supply Chain process excellence initiatives
  • Lean Six Sigma Black belt preferred with continuous improvement mindset & strong analytical skills

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • Knowledge of GMP policies and procedures and/or exposure to clean operations in regulated industry.
  • Experience in healthcare manufacturing operations, including supply chain site activities that involve start-up of lines or optimization of constrained capacity.
  • Ability to evaluate and evangelize SC innovations and manage change across a diverse organization working with people to influence and direct improvements.
  • Advanced skills with key applications for Program Management (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project, Visio, etc.).
  • Possesses knowledge and understanding of technical and commercial issues as well as efficient resource utilization in a multi-project environment.
  • Interact internally and externally with executive level management, requiring negotiation of potentially difficult and sensitive matters to influence policy making bodies both internally and externally.
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Manage multiple projects with respect to priorities.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of management.
  • Influence decision making with Leadership and drive implementation of supply chain excellence initiatives throughout the organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to form and maintain strong relationships internally and externally and engage with stakeholders.
