Job Details
The Senior Sourcing Specialist will be responsible to support and assist in the development of the Category Management strategy by gathering and anticipating business unit supply needs and specifications for the Direct Packaging Technologies & DP Manufacturing Category. This role works collaboratively with the Global Procurement team and business unit partners to commercially & competitively assess the local supply bases capabilities and qualifications for Regenerons interests. The preferred candidate must have demonstrated capability to proactively manage a supply base and maximize value, minimize risk, and ensure quality & cost effectiveness.
The role requires 5 days onsite at Regeneron's IOPS facilities. This role is not open to hybrid or fully remote-based work arrangements
The Global Procurement team is investing in resources both to support the team growth and anticipated growth in spend. The vision is to build a procurement capability that acts as a competitive advantage to Regeneron and evolve the organizational structure to focus the team on end-to-end category accountability and invest in appropriate category leadership, including further development of our center of excellence and establishing an international markets procurement team. The global Procurement team will be structured with category teams having end to end accountability for category management, sourcing, contracting, and supplier relationship management for assigned categories. These category teams will be enabled by procurement colleagues in an expanded Center of Excellence, an International Markets team, and a Capability Center all accountable for driving consistency and efficiency.
A Typical Day may Include:
- Accountable for supporting the definition and implementation of the global Direct Packaging Technologies & DP Manufacturing Category strategy to serve global and regional business needs as assigned.
- Works closely with stakeholders to support discussions related to the Direct Packaging Technologies & DP Manufacturing Categories and aligns category priorities with Procurement management and stakeholders.
- Supports negotiations, supplier management activities, and stakeholder engagement activities for the Direct Packaging Technologies & DP Manufacturing Category as assigned.
- Takes direction to drive value in terms of cost savings, cash flow improvement, and other efficiency savings from category management activities.
- Supports Global Procurement by participating in organizational decisions in the Direct Packaging Technologies & DP Manufacturing categories with critical short and long-term impact on the success, efficiency, growth, and results of the category team.
- Demonstrates knowledge of efficient global procurement organizations and processes within the biopharmaceutical industry to support the growth and evolution of the Global Procurement organization and leverages this knowledge to drive improvements within Regeneron, aligned with corporate priorities.
- Supports category activities to ensure compliance with appropriate GxPs and other applicable regulations, as applicable.
- Uses data to drive decision-making for successful category projects.

- Can builds relationships with stakeholders and suppliers to drive results for Regeneron.
- Have demonstrated success supporting cross-functional teams to drive results in Direct Packaging Technologies & DP Manufacturing categories or related categories through effective sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and supplier relationship management.
- Can provide insight and knowledge regarding rates, unit costs, and costing structures to enable optimal negotiations.
- Use external data sources, market information, and supplier engagement to constantly improve Regenerons knowledge of supply market dynamics.
- Individual who is experienced operating with integrity, focus, and clarity in an environment of ambiguity to drive change and improvement.
- Have demonstrated success supporting the global supply market evaluation process using all available market intelligence, risk, compliance, and financial assessment tools.
- Can bring working knowledge with sourcing contracting tools, ERPs, and eRFx systems preferred. (Oracle, Zycus, Ariba, Other)
- Have the ability to leverage standard business applications for communicating, presenting and analyzing (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
To be considered for this role you must possess a bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study plus relevant, progressive experience in procurement, including experience in Pharma/BioPharma.
