By focusing R&D efforts on four therapeutic areas and other targeted investments, we push the boundaries of what is possible in order to bring life-changing therapies to patients worldwide.
Join Takeda as a Research Scientist where you will use your knowledge in NGS assay development to help accelerate the discovery and development of biologics therapeutics. You will also establish workflows utilizing next-generation sequencing technologies to advance antibody discovery efforts from in vitro (yeast and phage),in vivo (single/bulk B cells) or de novo (AI based) platforms with the goal to more deeply interrogate repertoires, expand our knowledge of functional and sequence diversity and accelerate lead discovery. As part of the Biologics Informatics and Automation team, you will report to the Head of the team and work with computational scientists, establish data analysis pipelines for NGS data, investigating the use of NGS in other areas in Global Biologics to accelerate workflows and to enhance pipeline support and accelerate programs to IND.
How you will contribute:- Develop and optimize NGS protocols for library generation, sequencing using Illumina MiSeq/NextSeq platforms, and library QC and analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate NGS data with antibody discovery pipelines.
- Establish workflows using NGS in other areas in Global Biologics including cell line generation, plasmid preparation and CAR-T design characterization.
- Generate high quality NGS library (e.g. RNASeq, CITE-Seq) by rigorous optimization and QC process.
- Perform DNA library fragment purification using Blue Pippin and analyze the size using Tape Station 4200.
- Library quantification using qubit and qPCR.
- Continuously improve NGS workflows with integration of automation and informatics.
- Deeply understand and troubleshoot NGS experiments to ensure assay robustness and generation of high-quality data.
- Meet established timelines, maintain accurate records of work, and present data at team, departmental and company-wide meeting.
