Marketing Manager

In this vital role the US Marketing Manager, will support the development and execution of a wide range of strategic and promotional tactics and activities focusing on PROCYSBI. The Manager will assist in setting and reinforcing the PROCYSBI brand strategies and consistently driving strong brand execution. Success in this position will require a proven ability to closely collaborate with a cross-functional internal team (including sales, market access, analytics, advocacy, communications, commercial operations, market research and medical affairs) as well as to provide leadership to key external agencies and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be a team player, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be adaptable, and have a desire to make a difference. This individual will develop broad product marketing capabilities and will have the ability to stretch and demonstrate their leadership capabilities through ownership of multiple workstreams. This role will require strong cross-functional leadership, agility/flexibility, excellent communication skills, and a passion to serve patients in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities include:- Maintain an in-depth knowledge/awareness of market dynamics that can affect the product growth. Works closely with Clinical Science Associates (CSAs), internal cross-functional team and external vendors in the development of new programs in response to market understanding.
- Assist in the collaborative development of the PROCYSBI strategic plan by defining brand vision, positioning, key issues, critical success factors, and tactical plans.
- Monitor industry trends, market research and sales force feedback to contribute to the development of the brand strategic and tactical plan. Regularly evaluate and measure initiative impact (ROI). Provide input into necessary adjustments to marketing messages and tactics based on facts, experience, and logical assumptions, considering opportunity for gain, resources, constraints risk/reward and organizational values.
- Develop and lead the planning and implementation of HCP promotional tactics and patient initiatives for all stages of the patient journey.
- Must maintain and build partnerships with internal cross-functional groups (Compliance, Regulatory, Medical, Patient Services, Sales Training, Sales Leadership) to represent and advocate marketing interests and drive the success of strategic and tactical objectives.
- Serve as lead for external partners (ad agency, meeting planners, market researchers, consultants) to ensure integration and consistency of strategies and messages across all tactics. Negotiate with vendors and drive optimal value for brand. Work closely with contracts, pharmacovigilance, and compliance on Master Services Agreements, work orders, and contractual agreements.
- Ensures that marketing materials meet brand and regulatory guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Leading projects through the legal, regulatory, and medical review process
- Managing program budgets and developing metrics to ensure success of the promotional programs
- Collaborate with sales training to ensure effective, impactful, world class training on promotional tools and programs

Basic Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree
- Masters degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
- Bachelors Degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
- Associates Degree and 8 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
- High school diploma / GED and 10 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA (or equivalent, e.g., PharmD)
- Experience in pharmaceutical product launch planning and execution strongly preferred
- Experience in rare disease strongly preferred; severe inflammatory disease, particularly in rheumatology and/or gastroenterology
- Previous experience with infused medicines and understanding of buy and bill dynamics and landscape
- Experience working with multiple projects and managing multiple external vendors
- Requires approximately 25% travel, including some overnight and weekend commitments.
- Must have strong planning, project management, communication, and organization skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams as well as direct reports
- Understanding of the principles of brand management, including brand positioning, messaging & overall campaign execution
- Team orientation a must
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional communications skills and professional, proactive demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
