The Sr. Director, Head of Global Medical Information will oversee the global core functions of Medical Information across all therapeutic areas/products at CSL Behring, medical review of core promotional materials, collaboration with cross-functional teams and harmonization of medical information processes globally. Responsible for the medical information infrastructure and identifying opportunities for digital augmentation and efficiencies

Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Responsible for the strategy and implementation surrounding the collection, preparation, and dissemination of medical and scientific information for CSL Behring’s (CSLB) products externally to healthcare professionals (HCPs) and patients globally• Oversee the creation and communication to local affiliates of global scientific response documents ensuring scientifically accurate, evidence based, balanced responses that can be utilized across the globe for streamlined and consistent medical responses to unsolicited inquiries from healthcare providers and patients• Oversees the handling of escalated complex global HCP inquiries• Oversees the medical review of core promotional materials ensuring medical/scientific accuracy and adherence to local regulations• Collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders across the organization such as Clinical R&D, Pharmacovigilance, Quality, Marketing, Global Market Access/HCS, Heads of Medical Affairs in the US and International, TA Heads and global medical operations functions• Collaborate with Global Medical Education to ensure staffing of medical information booths at scientific congresses is adequately supported • Ensure Medical Information processes are harmonized across the globe, utilizing established systems for documentation and insights generation and facilitate communication of new medical insights to local affiliates on a periodic basis• Leverage insights from medical inquiries globally to work with cross-functional partners to help inform medical strategy and medical content • Responsible for maintenance and adherence to medical information SOPs, work instructions and other process documents and ensuring audit readiness• Manage a team of medical information professionals facilitating training opportunities to enhance team skills and knowledge, onboarding of new employees and team professional development• Management and oversight of MI inquiry and document management to meet global MI needs • Responsible for the medical information infrastructure and identifying opportunities for digital augmentation and efficiencies

Qualifications & Experience Requirements

• MD/PharmD/PhD or equivalent• Minimum of 12+ years relevant medical or bio-pharmaceutical industry experience required• In-depth knowledge of legal and regulatory and other relevant current government, industry, and organizational guidelines preferred • Excellent oral and written communication skills, presentation skills, and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to partner with scientists, academicians, and clinicians• Expertise in adult learning theory and design needs assessment, educational program outcome measurement, metric development, and analysis preferred• Experience building and leading matrixed teams in a global organization• Influential leader who builds relationships across stakeholder types
