Director, Commercial Data Strategy (Hybrid)

The Opportunity:

The Director, Commercial Data Strategy will develop the Seqirus NA data warehouse strategy and multi-year roadmap creating a sustainable data foundation to allow ComOps to make data-driven decisions. You will develop and implement the long-term plan for creating and maintaining a data warehouse.

This role requires partnership across the matrixed organization with key expert groups to assess all data available, data/insight needs, and gaps to develop the customer master strategy according to Sales CRM. You will own and serve as project manager for multiple projects to support the data warehouse build and evolution.

This role will require range of expertise, including project management, expert knowledge of BI/Analytics/CRM tools, experience guiding data governance strategies, experience partnering with IT functions, and understanding of key business needs across ComOps functions.

The Role:

• Develops commercial data warehouse strategy & multi-year implementation plan

• Guides implementation towards creating sustainable commercial data warehouse, and analytics/reporting environment

• Creates/maintains month level plan with 5-year window on data/analytics strategy that will support growth targets for Seqirus North America

• Defines data governance structure, in collaboration with global data owners, and ensures compliance with standards and controls

• Manages projects and represent commercial interests towards creating complete sustainable customer master at contact, account, and group levels

• Supports CRM future evolution in partnership with I & T organization, scope includes both enhancing data capture from field into home office, and data insights out from home office to field.

• Meets with cross- functional stakeholders (marketing, sales, pricing/contracting, IO, I+T) to understand current data/tools, as well as future needs

• Assess tools leveraged across organization to ingest or output data/insights and identify opportunities to improve/replace. Scope includes CRM, BI, Advanced Analytics, SAP (reporting outputs only), Targeting/Alignment tools, and Forecasting.

• Commercial Excellence point person for I + T partnership/prioritization

• Identifies and partners to evaluate external vendors that could provide support.

• Leads RFP process.

• During exploration to support long-term data projects, identifies short-term opportunities for improvement in parallel

• Partners with appropriate teams within Commercial Excellence and across broader organization to implement improvements

• Evaluates pros/cons (including ease of use, functionality, costs etc) of new solutions with eternal vendors and I&T as appropriate

• Identifies and supports near term improvements in data, analytics, or reporting functionality

• Responsible for development, implementation and maintenance of data sets, reporting and analytics to enable data-driven decisions

Your skills and experience:

• Bachelor's Degree required

• 10+ years' experience in a data management function

• Pharma/Biotech or similarly regulated environment experience

• 7+ years cross-functional project management experience, preferably in data/IT space

• Hands-on experience with traditional business intelligence reporting tools, e.g. PowerBI, MicroStrategy, Tableau)

• Experience with SAP or similar data environment
