Responsibilities
- Cold Chain Solutions Development and Execution: Lead the development, approval, and execution of cold chain shipping and storage solutions (dry ice and LN) to ensure efficient, cost-effective preservation of product integrity and temperature of high-quality biomaterials. Troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment issues, leveraging deep technical knowledge to maintain cold chain from manufacturing through all Supply Chain Logistical operations.
- Project Management and Process Optimization: Apply advanced project management principles to effectively plan, execute, and monitor projects related to process optimization and new equipment implementation. Assess current equipment and processes, providing expert guidance and recommendations for changes to drive operational excellence.
- Technical Expertise and Mentorship: Serve as a technical expert for all aspects of cold chain packaging and distribution, staying at the forefront of industry trends and advancements in manufacturing technology. Provide mentorship and training to junior engineers and cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in packaging engineering, with a focus on cold chain technology and project management.
- Proficiency in cold chain shipping and storage solutions, advanced project management principles, and process optimization techniques. Strong ability to compile and evaluate test data, determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications.
- Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex equipment issues. Proven experience in leading projects, mentoring junior engineers, and providing technical guidance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare comprehensive reports and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or packaging engineering are a plus.
