Job Details
As a Sourcing Specialist, you will support the planning and execution of strategic (Research and pre-Clinical Development) sourcing initiatives. We will develop sourcing specifications, requirements, and related scope of work, conducting data gathering, support spend analytics, assist in delivering measurable cost savings, and monitor savings against contract. This role will support evaluations through the development of RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs. You are expected to actively participates in supplier selection and provides data and recommendations to ensure informed selection decisions. The Specialist will support all vendor sourcing activities which includes preparing QBR data and measuring supplier performance.
A typical day might include:
Supporting sourcing and category managers to perform supply market analyses and use sourcing tools to identify suppliers.
Supporting the RFx process, contract negotiations, and ensures contract expectations are realized, e.g., SLAs, Savings, etc.
Monitors and ensures compliance with pricing agreements, internal policies, and procedures.
Reviews and approves POs in the Oracle workflow for category spend under management and within authorized approval limits.
Works within iCertis to collect requirements, draft, and manage workflow for Scopes of Work (SOW) covering commercial terms.
Tracks the expiry of the contract's term and alerts sourcing manager and stakeholder(s) for existing contracts.
Supports the category sourcing team on Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) initiatives including, coordinating supplier governance meetings, creating/distributing scorecards, working with partners to review performance metrics, reporting SRM meeting action items, and tracking resolutions.
Adds completed iCertis numbers to PO as applicable before issuance to Supplier
This role might be for you if you have:
Experience in Procurement related systems.
Can work effectively in a rapid-response environment.
Demonstrated success supporting cross-functional teams through effective sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and supplier relationship management.
To be considered you are to have a Bachelors degree in a relevant field of study plus relevant, experience within procurement with 3+ years or more experience directly in sourcing role or supporting sourcing activities. Experience supporting R&D or Research within the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
Additional experience should include:
Supporting global category teams, processes, and suppliers across a breadth of categories
Insight and knowledge regarding rates, unit costs, and costing structures to enable optimal negotiations.
Use of external data sources, market information, and supplier engagement to constantly improve knowledge of supply market dynamics.
Individual who operating with integrity, focus, and clarity in an environment of ambiguity to drive change and improvement.
Have supported global supply market evaluation process using market intelligence, risk, compliance, and financial assessment tools.
Working knowledge of sourcing and procurement, planning, supplier interface and negotiations, systems applications such as Zycus, Oracle, iCertis (Contracts Management), spend analytic software, MS PowerPoint, Word, and Exce
