Overview

The Facilities/Lab Support Associate will assist in building facilities and laboratory related support. The ideal candidate will have a general knowledge of facility and laboratory operations and the ability to make decisions with minimal guidance.

Responsibilities

Additional representative responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following: 
•    Making Insmed ID badges for employees and contractors
•    Supporting lab manager on changing out CO and other gas cylinders as needed.
•    Meeting and walking thru vendors when scheduled for quotes or scheduled repairs.
•    Managing the day porter and night cleaners supporting the Insmed account
•    Supporting all research team members and lab manager on research needs when arises.
•    Meeting with property management on facility related issues or support when needed.
•    Creating Purchase orders when onboarding new vendors supporting the account
•    Completing all training when uploaded in Veeva
•    Participating in weekly Facilities meetings with NJ team
•    Providing monthly safety inspections on eyewash, emergency shower stations and fire extinguishers
•    Submitting work orders to property management for building related issues
•    Build and install facility related items as needed, i.e shelving, furniture etc
•    Monitoring of Areas to Ensure Presentability
•    Work Order System Management
•    Relocation Assistance
•    Interior Maintenance as Needed
Position Requirements (Required and/or Preferred Skills, Experience and Education):•    Bachelor's Degree preferred; High School Diploma Required with 5 years of relevant experience in a lab and/or facility support role.
•    Trade certification, and some college or vocational training in engineering or facilities experience, a plus.
•    Prior employment at a biotech or pharmaceutical company and direct experience, preferred
•    Ability to lift objects weighing at least 50 lbs.•    

Salary Range

$42 - $59 an hour
