Amgen Thousand Oaks (ATO) Manufacturing and Development Supply Chain (DSC) is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of products, process knowledge and technology solutions to enable Amgens accelerated product commercialization. As an integral part of the Process Development organization, ATO Manufacturing and DSC provides an innovation ecosystem to advance differentiating multi-modality capabilities and gain insight in development and a regulated environment in support of product and process development. Leveraging our tech transfer and manufacturing capabilities, ATO also serves as a launch site to enable speed to market for Amgens innovative products and biosimilars.

ATO Site Supply Chain is responsible for managing all aspects of supply chain operations for manufacturing and supply planning, scheduling, raw material procurement, master data and inventory management activities in all phases of pre-clinical, clinical development and commercial manufacturing.

ATO Site Supply Chain is expanding to support Amgens growing Drug Product manufacturing. We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate, Supply Chain, to own production planning for the facility and be responsible for tactical planning requirements of Commercial and Clinical production. This role requires interacting and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Amgen Product Teams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure all work is completed with minimal disruption and in compliance with all cGMP guidelines and Amgen procedures

  • Manage manufacturing process orders, including ensuring accurate master data and transactions within SAP, coordinating logistics execution activities for orders, and assessing input material availability

  • Available to be on call and respond to business needs as necessary

  • Interface with internal and external clients regularly towards issue resolution

  • Support supply chain initiatives to improve business processes, reporting and metrics through the enhancement of the global ERP system

  • Analyze raw material demand, usage, and inventory to determine requirements and allocate material accordingly

  • Examine schedules and other documents to ascertain delivery and pick up schedules

  • Monitor financial impact of potential scrap under different levels of demand and appropriate expiration dating assumptions

  • Interface with site planning, manufacturing, quality, business unit leaders, and finance to ensure functional alignment of plans and expected outcomes

  • Use credibility, planning knowledge, and expertise to influence production and demand process as appropriate

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school/GED + 4 years Supply Chain work experience OR

  • Associates + 2 years Supply Chain work experience OR

  • Bachelors + 6 months Supply Chain work experience OR

  • Master's

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree

  • 5+ years of Supply Chain working experience

  • 2 years of experience with SAP or equivalent planning software

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities successfully

  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to learn new systems

  • Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and production schedules

  • Effective written and verbal communications skills

  • Demonstrated ability to make and maintain strong relationships with other functional areas, particularly within manufacturing

  • Proactive, enthusiastic, strong initiative, and curious

  • Capable of operating under pressure situations

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
