Job Details
We are seeking a motivated Senior Associate Scientist to join our Infectious Disease group. You will be responsible for independently carrying out experiments to support the discovery of antiviral therapeutics.
As a Senior Associate Scientist, a typical day may include the following:
Running assays including ELISAs, virus infection assays, and other in vitro assays
Carrying out molecular experiments including cloning, PCR, and DNA extraction/purification
Maintaining cell cultures
Running flow cytometry
Maintaining records of results and carrying out data analysis
Providing updates and presenting your work to the broader team
This role might be for you if:
You have experience with molecular biology, in vitro techniques, and cell-based assays
You enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
You are able to work on multiple projects in parallel, independently or as part of a team
You are eager to learn and apply your skills to advance antiviral therapies
In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must have at least a BS/MS and 3-5+ years of relevant experience in infectious disease, molecular biology or a related field. Must have experience with cell culture and immunological assays (i.e. ELISA). Experience working with viral infections in-vitro in a BSL2 environment required. Experience with PCR, cloning, and flow cytometry are preferred. Experience working with mice (injections, blood/tissue harvest, etc.) is strongly preferred.
