Purpose of the Job:
The CDL develops and implements clinical, pre-clinical and translational biomarkers to support Discovery Research and Clinical Trial sample analysis. The associate in the CDL responsibilities include collaborating with service providers, networking with external vendors, processing equipment related requisitions, supervising performance maintenance (PM) processes between vendors, and managing the instrument lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities of Job:
Clinical Laboratory Equipment Vendor Management – Associate is responsible for ensuring all vendor provided equipment maintenance is performed on time, field service reports are received, and requisitions closed in a timely fashion.
Communication and information management – Associate will maintain applicable equipment and vendor databases. Excellent communication with Lilly scientists and staff outside of the CDL, is required, in addition to a high level of teamwork with Sr. Specialists.
Technical writing skills – Associate will author standard operating procedures (SOPs), process change management, deviations, and other laboratory documentation.
Applications of regulatory requirements – Associate is responsible for understanding and applying regulations as they relate to equipment qualification and maintenance. All laboratory procedures must be conducted and documented according to appropriate regulations. Associate is expected to exhibit behavior that supports and promotes GRP/GCP and adheres to all appropriate Lilly regulatory procedures and guidelines.
Technical Process application and improvement – Associate develops and applies expertise and knowledge to improve vendor processes, and CDL business practices to gain efficiencies.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor degree, or equivalent experience in laboratory instrumentation Vendor Management
Additional Preference:
Project Management Skills.
Working knowledge of Global Maintenance and Reliability (GMARS) strongly preferred
Proven track record of driving projects to completion.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to influence change and implement process improvement.
Experience with basic computer software applications including MS Word and Excel.
