Overview

We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Director of Emerging Technologies to implement and support our organization's growing AI initiatives and other emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Director of Emerging Technologies to implement and support our organization's growing AI initiatives and other emerging technologies. This role is pivotal in driving innovation, developing cutting-edge AI applications, and leading a high-performing team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of technology. This role will be responsible for building and managing a team dedicated to AI project development and support, while also overseeing operational aspects of technology. The role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership skills to drive innovation and digital transformation within the organization.Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the development and implementation of AI applications, ensuring they deliver tangible business value and meet performance expectations.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive AI architecture blueprint that aligns with Insmed's overall technology strategy and business objectives. This should include defining standards, best practices, and guidelines for AI implementation across the organization.
  • Build and lead the AI development team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members.
  • Lead and manage the support team, ensuring efficient operations, incident resolution, and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all AI projects and systems. Establish and enforce standards and best practices for AI development and implementation
  • Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to drive AI innovation. Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing systems and processes.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI and emerging technologies. Conduct thorough research and evaluation of new technologies to identify potential opportunities for Insmed.
  • Execute Insmed' s AI strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in identifying, prioritizing, and implementing AI projects
  • Develop metrics to measure the impact and ROI of AI initiatives
  • Ensure ethical and responsible use of AI across the organization
Qualifications:
  • Undergrad or Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in leading AI development teams and delivering successful AI projects.
  • Deep understanding of AI algorithms, machine learning, and deep learning techniques.
  • Strong technical expertise in data science, data engineering, and cloud computing.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value propositions.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry processes and challenges
  • Experience in project management and process improvement [3]
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry

Travel Requirements

Up to 20%

Salary Range

$171,000 - $239,667 a year
