The Clinical Research Investigator Training Solutions is responsible for supervising the operations of the team responsible for external investigator and staff training and the study training deliverables. This includes business planning, capacity/resource forecasting, staff management and development, project management, and cross-functional communication. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient execution by aligning with clinical and functional counterparts to incorporate strategies that drive efficiencies and speed. Individual in this role will work closely with the Sr. Director, Investigator Engagement to create, evolve, and lead the overall strategic direction of the team.

Strategic and Technical Leadership- Provide strategic and technical direction to team members needed to implement key initiatives and priorities
- Ensure the training team is providing value and expertise to deliver right-sized study training strategies through successful execution of study training launch.
- Assess and advise Senior Director of emerging technical needs or potential changes in strategic direction.
- Foster a culture of organizational collaboration and shared learning to identify standard processes and approaches to study training processes.
- Ensure the training team works closely with one another and with counterparts across the CDDA to continue to evolve Lilly standards, processes, tools.
- Ensure processes for study training are consistent and integrated with the appropriate Clinical Design Delivery & Analytics (CDDA) functions
- Access and evaluate evolving business partner needs that could be addressed by process improvements, standardization, or automation.
- Creating a culture of respect for people, inclusion, excellence, and integrity.
- Supervise direct reports and facilitate performance management, personnel development, and career planning through regular interactions, coaching, timely and transparent feedback.
- Participate and represent staff in succession planning activities, talent assessment, merit pay, promotion processes, and reward and recognition activities to retain and empower staff.
- Ensure staff compliance with Lilly Corporate, Medical, Regulatory and other standards, procedures, and other internal and external business requirements, including training requirements.
- Appropriately identify and resolve personnel issues in collaboration with functional management and/or human resources, as appropriate.
- Ensure efficient resources and expertise are available to execute the team deliverables and delivering on portfolio prioritization.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry
- Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, or TN status) for this employment position
- Broad understanding of the pharmaceutical drug/device development process
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence team members and extended cross-functional partners
- Ability to drive strategy and effectively influence the direction of daily operations
- Strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills
- Values and demonstrates diversity and inclusion
- Previous supervisory experience
- Experience leading teams through transformation or change
- Prior experience in managing complex/cross-functional projects and/or multi-disciplinary teams
- Minimal travel required
