Ready to shape the future of science and global health? ATCC is seeking a Director of Account Management for a hybrid role (2 - 3 days per week in office) in Gaithersburg, MD or Manassas, VA.
The Director of Account Management is responsible for leading and overseeing the account management team, driving the strategic direction and execution of client relationship management initiatives. Leveraging their extensive experience in account management and leadership, they develop and implement strategies to optimize client satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth. They serve as a key liaison between customers and internal teams, providing strategic guidance, fostering collaboration, and ensuring the successful delivery of products and services. Additionally, they play a crucial role in mentoring and developing the account management team, driving their professional growth and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
The Director, Account Management partners with Senior Sales & Marketing management to establish strategic sales plans, quantitative objectives and metrics, and commission and incentive plans to drive overall performance of the account management team. They work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the organization.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic account management plans to align with customer objectives and drive business growth.
- Cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships with key accounts, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.
- Set team and individual sales targets and manage performance to surpass the Division's revenue goals.
- Implement metrics for team accountability and effectiveness.
- Recruit, develop, and retain top talent and maintain a high-performing team.
- Work collaboratively with other Executives and programs to develop and implement business plans, ensure compliance with contractual obligations, and serve the organization's mission and goals.
- Support the licensing and partnerships functions and other enterprise transactional and strategic business needs.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and 12 or more years' experience, including 6 or more years' supervisory experience or equivalent experience.
Additional Experience:
- Strong track record of success in growing sales of products and services to clinical diagnostic, pharma, university research, industrial, and government customers.
