Lets do this. Lets change the world. The Undergraduate Co-op at Amgen offers students the opportunity to gain industry experience while completing their studies. They may assist in various departments, including engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, depending on their course of study and the company's needs.

Responsibilities may include:
  • Support drafting of process validation protocols to support Process Performance Qualification (PPQ) activities and plant start-up
  • Developing, refining, and integrating the Amgen North Carolina equipment matrix database into the broader Amgen network database
  • Support at-scale and/or validation study activities which includes identifying required single-use components and other raw materials necessary to execute studies

Basic Qualifications

Amgen requires that all individuals applying for an undergrad internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:

  • 18 years or older
  • Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelors Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
  • Completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing
  • Enrolled in a full-time Bachelors degree program following the potential internship or co-op assignment with an accredited college or university
  • Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
  • Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship OR co-op
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree concentration in Engineering, Science, Biotechnology, Math, Computer Science, Technology, Data Science, Public Health or a related degree
  • Junior or Senior
  • Previous Co-op or internship experience
  • Basic understanding upstream and/or downstream biopharmaceutical processes

The base pay range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $24.70 - $28.30 per hour.
