Ready to shape the future of science and global health? ATCC, a pioneer in biomaterials manufacturing, is seeking a Senior Sales Support Specialist for a flexible hybrid role working 1-2 days per week in the office.  Days in office are feasible in either Gaithersburg, MD or Manassas, VA. 

 

In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact between ATCC and our network of distributors, facilitating communication, providing support, and driving sales growth.  Prior background or experience in Biology or Life Sciences industry highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Relationship Management and Support: Develop and maintain strong relationships with ATCC distributors, serving as their main point of contact for sales-related inquiries and support. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective communication and coordination with distributors to meet customer needs and sales targets.
  • Training Support: Coordinate product and other training for distributors to enhance their understanding of ATCC products and services, enabling effective promotion and sales to customers.
  • Performance Monitoring and Improvement: Monitor distributor performance and sales activities, identify opportunities for growth and improvement, and provide feedback and guidance as needed. Prepare regular reports on distributor performance, sales trends, and market insights for management review and decision-making.
  • Sales Strategy and Market Insights: Coordinate promotional campaigns, product launches, and sales initiatives with distributors to drive revenue growth and market penetration. Support the development and implementation of sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion, informed by staying informed about industry trends and competitor activities.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma and 5 or more years' experience or equivalent experience. 
  • Sales, account management, or customer service experience, preferably in life sciences or biotechnology. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM software, and sales tools. 
  • Occasional travel required for distributor meetings and industry events. 
  • Self-motivated with a focus on driving sales growth and delivering exceptional customer service. 
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment. 
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
