The Position
As a member of the Strategic Market Intelligence team, the primary purpose of this role will be to become a value-added partner to the Cardiovascular and Emerging Therapies cross functional teams through data driven analytics and insight generation. The role will entail working closely with cross functional teams and multiple levels of management. The position will mainly support Emerging pipeline therapeutic areas with holistic analytics that would support future business strategy, market shaping efforts and pre-launch planning for pipeline assets. The Emerging Insights and Pipeline Analytics Manager will also work close with data strategy partners to in and effort to conduct in-depth analytics, working with various data sets and systems leveraged across CI&A, with the ability to deliver clear, concise and actionable insights Develops evidence-based communications materials including slides, reports and dashboards reflecting clear and concise conclusions and recommendations for key stakeholders. Works in a fast-paced environment.
Relationships
This position will report to the Associate Director, Strategic Market Intelligence. Working relationships with pipeline business unit partners across the organization and close collaboration commercial insights and analytics partners to ensure alignment on relevant business issues and priorities, along with consistency in reporting. External relationships may include secondary data vendors, consultants, and information technology developers.
Essential Functions
- Data Mining / Analytics in support of market insights
- Conducts hypothesis-driven investigations into detailed physician-level, patient-level and transactional-level data, to gain business insights from various customer perspectives (HCPs, patients, payers) independently or in collaboration with data partners. Work with large datasets to uncover market trends and opportunities. Interpret and contextualize analytical findings, leading to distinct and actionable business implications. May require utilizing tools beyond Excel, such as SQL, Python, R, or specialized data analysis software for in-depth analysis. Ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data and output
Physical Requirements
0-10% overnight travel required.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in business analytics, finance, engineering, data science, or related field. MBA, MSc or MPH preferred
