Marketing Associate Program Overview
As a member of AbbViesMarketing Associate Program (MAP), you will target to have three, twelve-month assignments over the course of three years. Depending on business needs and project availability, the three-year program structure can be flexible to extend rotation timeframe, or complete multiple rotations within the same functional area. The assignments are designed to help you develop exceptional functional and foundational knowledge by working on a range of projects in order to be successful team member within an Integrated Brand Team (IBT).
Based on business need and your personal preferences, you may rotate through the following functional areas located at one of our corporate headquarters locations or in the field:
Marketing:Support brand marketing strategies and tactics for key stakeholders (Health care professionals, therapeutic community, and advertising agencies). Learn and support budgetary responsibilities for marketing strategies. Engage with sales teams to work on promotional campaigns. Help plan and execute conferences attended by brand teams and/or external stakeholders.
Therapeutic Analytics & Operations: Support marketing research for designated therapeutic area(s) through design, implementation, management, and analysis. Address information needs through primary and secondary research and analyze and present findings. Build understanding of customer knowledge and market competition. Assist brand marketing teams in extracting insights from big data. Consult with stakeholders to develop strategy, identify tactical initiatives, enhance promotional programs, and measure brand team execution. Create strategic tools for U.S. brands by collaborating with the business to analyze and assess performance.
Field Sales:Take on a field sales representative role for a product. With the support of a District Sales Manager, representatives will go through field sales training, manage a call plan, and work with key external stakeholders (HCPs and external organizations).
Post Program:Members will be eligible for a variety of Commercial roles based on combination of role fit, business need, performance, and member preference.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in university and completing your final year of a Bachelors degree in Marketing, Sales, Healthcare or a related field
- Must be enrolled in university the semester following your internship and graduate with a Bachelorsdegree between December 2024 June 2025.
- Demonstrated leadership skills (i.e. extracurricular activities or projects)
- Previous internship or related experience required
- Must have a valid U.S. drivers license (for Sales rotation)
- An essential requirement of your Sales rotation is to meet health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements to gain entry into facilities and organizations that are in your assigned territory
Preferred Qualifications
- Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher preferred
- Basic Healthcare or Biotech industry knowledge
- Basic/intermediate experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Excellent problem-solving, written, and verbal skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, project management, problem solving, analytical skills, and business mindset
- Proven track record of teamwork, adaptability, innovation, initiative and integrity

- The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes ingood faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individualcompensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimatelypay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

- This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
