Eli Lilly and Company seeks a Toxicologic Pathologist (R8-R9) to interpret clinical pathology and morphologic pathology data obtained from animals to evaluate new chemical and molecular entities. Interpret and integrate morphologic and clinical pathology data for target identification, target validation, and assessment of compound efficacy. Conduct peer review of pathology data. Assess and implement new technologies and capabilities related to pathology. Develop novel biomarkers or characterize animal models. #LI-DNI
Position requires a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and 5 years of experience with performing pathology evaluations of toxicity studies in a laboratory setting. Experience must include a minimum of: 5 years of experience with conducting drug safety evaluations and histopathological examinations; 5 years of experience writing pathology narrative reports for toxicity studies and designing toxicity studies; 5 years of experience with conducting or supervising animal necropsies; 5 years of experience reviewing data, protocols, and reports related to pathology data; and 5 years of experience performing scientific reviews and mentoring junior professionals. American College of Veterinary Pathologists certification required. Part time telecommuting may be permitted. 20% domestic and international travel required. #LI-DNI
