The Clean Utilities Supervisor is responsible for the technical and administrative leadership of the Clean Utilities Technicians responsible for execution of maintenance and operations supporting the Parenteral building, and for ensuring consistent application of proactive maintenance and reliability programs. The Concord site will be a 24/7 facility with multiple manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Safety - Ensures that all team members are knowledgeable and compliant regarding safety procedures, policies, permits and practices. Initiates and leads accident, near miss reviews and incident notifications. Ensures proper housekeeping procedures are maintained.
- Quality – Responsible for team’s compliance and meeting the quality standards as defined by cGMPs, the Global Quality Standards, local procedures
- Manage People Effectively – Responsible for managing daily maintenance operations across shifts up to 7 days a week, including attendance, overtime, operational issues, performance management, development planning and reporting of results.
- Maintenance Excellence –
- Ensuring quality of Maintenance Execution
- Responsible for Team Training and Development and ensuring team is current on training prior to assigning work
- Responsible for Operation and Maintenance KPI’s associated with Team’s performance.
- Aligns Team Priorities to Support Production Plan
- Interfaces with customers to ensure alignment.
- Reviewing a sampling of executed Work Orders
- Investigates Team deviations as needed
- Owns incident reporting, investigating, and corrective measures
Basic Requirements:
- EDUCATION: High School Diploma
- EXPERIENCE: Five years of manufacturing or maintenance experience in a leadership/supervisory role
- Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Previous supervisory/leadership experience required
- Knowledgeable of Clean Utilities Operations and Maintenance processes or other GMP manufacturing experience
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally with multiple levels within the organization
- Demonstrated ability to provide coaching and feedback
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, set objectives and meet targets
- Demonstrated ability to provide high-level customer service
- Demonstrated ability to work without close supervision
- Demonstrated ability in problem solving
- CMMS experience desired
Additional Information:
- Position supports a 24/7 operation and is expected to be flexible in maintaining availability for support in decision making and issue resolution as necessary to operate the facility.
- Must be willing to work overtime during peak periods (shutdowns, etc.)
- Must be willing to carry a cell phone and respond to off-hour emergencies when necessary.
- Some allergens are present in the parenteral plant. Mobility requirements and exposure to allergens should be considered when applying for this position
- Minimal travel required.
